Chapter 4
by Adyen
Does the Darkling do its job?
One
A Darkling in itself wasn't the brightest of the bunch. Bound by the blood of their creator, they must do his biddings as best as they could.
When Janus started the creation of Darklings, he was looking for something that would allow him to have the one thing that had always been denied to him: Sex. He tried creating a woman, but that didn't work out quite well. He thought about **** a child and teaching her how to sexually serve him, but he wasn't willing to wait for the years required for it.
Then, he stumbled across mind control.
Being an Alchemist, he knew of potions that could incite lust into people, but things like that normally wear off after some time. Those that don't... Well, he's insane, but he didn't want to be fucked to ****. Thus, he needed some way to control when they have sex and when they don't.
Enter the Darklings.
The Mask-Darkling quickly rolled over to where Lily was sleeping. It stretched itself up onto the queen-sized bed and moved until it was beside the head of the sleeping woman.
Lily's face was a mess of scar tissues from her accident, and time had only made them look worse. Even while asleep, her face was twisted into a snear, and she was wrapped up in thick pajamas that covered her entire body. While her hair had grown back through the years, they had grown back white instead of brown due to some imbalance or some other that Janus had never spent the time to figure out.
The Darkling slowly stretched itself up over the sleeping face of Lily, being careful not to touch her. When it was directly above her, it slowly expanded until it was like a tent that supported itself on the bed, a pole proped up beside her head.
Slowly, it thinned out and became the mask that it had absorbed earlier. The tendrils changed into part of the decorative fluff and became shorter - the mask slowly lowered itself on the sleeping woman.
Inch by inch it dropped until it could feel Lily's exhale. It waited for a moment, as if testing the waters, before slowly cupping the scarred face gently. The fluff retracted completely to the mask and burrowed inwards into Lily's head, connecting dead nerves and muscles to itself, and laying hooks into the brain of the widow.
Lily never felt any of it as she breathed in and out while dreaming. All she felt was a warmth on her face like she haven't felt in a long while as she continued sleeping. Not even when the mask's eyes opened to reveal her brown eyes, glazed over like the eyes of a puppet, or her body shuddering and twitching in control of its new owner did she awaken.
Certainly, she slept on as her body got off the bed ackwardly (before becoming used to moving under the control of the Darkling) and opening the door to an insanely grinning Janus.
What fun shall they have?
