After a few minutes of consideration, which the Hero Maker gave John without any disturbance, he had decided. The advantages were farly outweighing the risks on this offer. Yet one thing kept bugging him.

"I am willing to agree to this, if you answer me one more question. Why do you offer it? You said you want me to join you, I get that, but why? You obviously are not running a guild, since you already stated that you are not part of the abyss anymore. And I doubt you are going after some grand task. Or rather do I assume that you are doing exactly that, but I doubt that I can be of service. If you are half as powerfull as you seem to be, then I can't imagine anything stopping you from doing whatever you please to. So why recruit me for whatever you want?" John fell into some kind of blabbering out his personal thoughts more than actually asking now.

"At last you start to ask the important questions. I am really sorry that I am not going to answer them for you, though. At least not now, because the informations you now demand of me are the kind I am only willing to share with my allies." Figures. John slowly nodded. He knew what was going on. His tasks and real powers were valuable informations. Once John had those, he would become a threat. And this man did not look stupid enough to create threats to himself. It most likely would take task after task to even get him to mention anything ever again.

Yet John was not put off from this. Quite the opposite. For a gamer like him, this sounded like an adventure and a challenge. And he would take it up. "Allright. I'll join you."

You joined the Guild of the Abyssal Outlaws

New guild skill: I'm gonna tell!
This skill can only be activated upon your ****. All your knowledge and information you gathered will be transferred to the guild leader. Every guild member will gain your strength added to theirs if they fight directly against the person who murdered you.
Note: This skill auto activates upon your ****. To stop it from doing so, click [here]
Note: This skill will not show up on your character sheet. If you wish to toggle it, select the guild leaders interface in the Guild-tab of second page on your character sheet and do so there.

John shrugged at the notification. Truth be told, the anarchists who were only humans had better skills than this.

"Now what does that mean now? Am I to spy on someone for you? Sorry to say it, but I don't know much magic folk around here." He laughed.

"Oh, don't worry, I will get you where you need to go. But before that we should keep all the others safe. I am sorry, but on this I will have to **** you into telling me the complete truth. I need to know everyone you care about. I know, I know, this sounds like I am going to **** you, but it is the opposite. Like I said, I am being hunted. So if you join me now, and people see you with me, they will come after you as well. Everyone you even have a slight positive relation to is in danger of being captured, tortured and questioned. So please, name everyone who might know something about you, no matter how minor that detail is." This baffled John. He understood the point behind the question and the logic was solid, but how would he not see the paradox here. He was holding back information to keep himself safe from John, yet demanded him to give those up just like that?

"How about we trade? I tell you all that, and in return you tell me how your power works!" He knew that he was at the weaker position in this deal, but it was probably the only chance he would get at those informational diamonds in a while.

"Fine, I was going to tell you anyway once we are out of here, though. So now, start listing." John gritted his teeth. No way was someone this powerfull sharing his secrets 'anyway later'. Honestly, John was still not convinced that he would share them even now that he had his word. He missed being able to make a deal with the devil for this kind of things.

"Well my mother, Brenda Newman. Henrietta knows where we live. Then there is Laura Vannenhof, her nickname is Paw. She is at..." But he was once more cut off.

"No need for places, we will find them, just tell me who to get, I manage the rest." John sighed. Well if that was true, then he was probably not giving away too much anyway.

"Okay, so my mom, Paw, Layklé, Ashthyn and maybe some people from my school. I don't know, they have been with me before, so I don't know how far they would go?" The Hero Maker sighed.

"Let's make it simple. Name anyone you have ever invited to your place, or if you have ever been to theirs." Ouch. This felt bad, because it reduced the list of all his classmates to a zero. But he wouldn't admit this. So he had to come up with some people from his school to... yeah, to what? What would happen with these people.

"Ehm, just out of curiosity, what are you doing to them? Are you hypnotising the memories out of them? Or make them forget I ever existed?" This seemed to have struck a nerve.

"I wish we could, then we would just put it all over the city and make everyone forget you. No, we will take them along. Buy them some fancy new places to live at and have them under constant surveilance, so they are safe." John nodded and formed a new plan.

"I met my teacher once. June Summers. And I have been with the twins.." He stated and saw the expecting eyes of the Hero Maker. Shit. What were their names again? Everyone called them the twins after all, and their real names didn't matter much. After all, everyone knew who you were talking about. Wait, that's it. If he had an investigation team anyway, he could use that. "They go to my school, ask anyone and they will get pointed at. Only pair of identical girl twins at my school." The Hero Maker chuckled. Had he seen through his plan? Maybe.

After all, if this guy was willing to abduct all the people he named and give them a new life as princesses, then John could profit from it. If he made the girls happy by giving them a life as royalty, maybe he could become their king later on?

"Only those three from my school. I didn't come around much. Well, Henrietta, but you said she already works for you, so I don't think you have to take her, do you?" he tried to play it up casually.

"No, I do not. Alright, Victoria, you heard the list. Make sure they all come along. We meet at XB4 in one. John, it was a pleasure meeting you. Just stick with Henrietta now, she will get you where we meet up. Henrietta, you are permitted to tell him everything. Consider my debt paid, John Newman. Have a nice day now." And with that he popped away. John knew he had just created an illusion barrier, but it still felt really super-hero like to see someone just disappear into nothingness like that.
