High Class Tastes

The apartment Janus lived is part of a research group dedicated to important people. Or rather, those who were important to their fields. Janus was one of the world's foremost in alchemy, and thus had a room on the third floor, with everyone else in practical magics.

However, the new Janus' target was on the second floor - the group in theatrical applicants.

They were, honestly, the magical powerhouses of the world. Every time someone has a story about mages/wizards/sorcerers - that's probably them. You want a fireball? Ask them. Alter the course of a hurricane? Them again. A tidalwave to sink a small island? Some of them can do it.

As the latex body slid through a crack Janus had created when it was still a he and down to the second floor, its target became clear.

Xhe Yang was a young sorcerer hailing from Eastern Asia. A practical genius at magic, she had mastered Eastern magics at a young age of 20 (considering that some mages and the lot can live till their second century, it's rather impressive), and was studying Western magics while she continued to explore the secrets of the world. Young and beautiful with her slightly tanned skin and luxurious black hair that flowed freely down her back, she had deep black eyes that seemed to draw people into it.

Of course, that wasn't the main reason he picked her. One of the main reasons he picked her was because she was one of those who mocked him when he had explained his thesis to his peers. Janus could still remember her words clearly: "The Asian community has been trying to do that for centuries, and you think you can do it with your insignificant lifetime? Please. Leave the research to immortality to someone who actually has a CHANCE of succeeding."

As an added bonus, she was also rather open with her sexuality, so nobody is going to look twice if she ever shows up clad in an airy latex suit... Which she's going to do in the rest of her natural life if Janus had anything to say about it.
