Round 1, Fight!

"Ladies, Gentlemen and everything in-between, Welcome to Day one of the Arxkesttelgdn Grand Tournament as declared by King Bryce of Itheria." The announcer was fat dragon-kin with yellow scales and white hair and wings. He had a loud, booming, thunderous voice that could be heard over the cheering crowd and general noise of the tournament; projected by his wind magic from his White Clutch side. "As most of you know, King Bryce beat our fearless Empress in battle then proceeded to marry her in order to merge our two great kingdoms." From what you had seen and heard their kingdom may be great in size but was crumbling below their feet whereas you're Kingdom although smaller was not a mere state (like Luxem) and was stable and prosperous.

The announcer continued "You have all received the news on how our new king plans on changing our kingdom but in order to do so he has to prove his might in accordance with out rules and customs. This is what brings us all here to this tournament today. The first rounds will be held between King Bryce's champions and the Champions of our great kingdoms." Again in your head, you question the real greatness of the dragon-kin 'kingdoms' but phrasing it that way seems to please the home crowd.

"Round 1 will consist of 26 fight. The winners of which will not only advance to the next round but also be contenders for land and titles. The reaming rounds will be between these vectors to determine what proportion of out great kingdom they get to take away with them. The fights are to be non-lethal and will last until one member yields. However, the combatants may choose any weapon including dragon-magic. Those who use deadly **** intentionally will be punished by the Empress herself, however, some accidental casualties are expected in this kind of tournament. I, therefore, urge all combatants to yield before injuries get too severe. This being said, LET THE TOURNAMENT BEGIN!" The announcer's voice rose to almost a roar at the end, had you not known better you would have assumed a dragon flew over to cry the word 'begin'.

You are seated by Butrexx on a grand pedestal close to the action but not too close giving you the best seats in the house. Sarah along with Marissa are seated with others in the 'Honoured guests' seating on the opposite side of the arena along with other nobles from Itheria and Phebis.
