The Mountain Clans

You yourself belong to the Mountain Clans, the youngest and strongest of the four. After Sigvir the Bold learned of the Riastrad your ancestors became his followers. They learned of his methods carefully and treated the Riastrad with respect. Ultimately, his lack of mastery over it led to his **** which was a mistake your kin were determined not to repeat. While other Clans and groups began to harness the Riastrad for themselves, your kind had already begun to use it effectively. Your ancestors departed for the mountains to challenge the horrors that dwelled there and prove their might.

There are many mighty men and women who have belonged to these Clans. The three you remember are as follows.

Dagda the Hungry was the first to master the Riastrad. Nearly all of what your kind know about the Riastrad was learned from him. Dagda was the first to kill a Cliff Drake. He, like Sigvir, died when he attempted to use the Riastrad to slay a Raghik.

Yevayega the Unbreakable was the first of the Ardri to kill a Bristlebear as well as the first to kill a Cliff Drake with her bare hands. Yevayega was also the first woman to gain followers among the Mountain Clans. She bore many children one of which was you, She was also the only person that you know of your kind to die of old age.

Garran the Spiderstalker is the only sibling you have kept in touch with as most relationships in clan life don't last very long. He is your older brother and he is far from normal among your kind. The title of Spiderstalker was given to him for his love of spider meat, which is considered nearly inedible by every sane person you know. The meat is oily and black with an odd slimy yet stringy texture to it. Your brother however prefers this meat above all else though you think his affinity for it has given him a touch of madness. He is the first Ardri to kill a Cave Spider Matron and immediately after became the first to EAT a Cave Spider Matron. You are certain he is among your number somewhere although you can't recall seeing him amongst the crowd.

You quickly shift your thoughts from the unpleasantness of Spider meat to the other creatures you leave behind you in the mountains.
