A maze

As the six women continue through the Tower after losing Frost, Lizette orders them to check their ammunition.

“I got half a clip in my gun and one more clip to spare.” Clarissa says.

“I’m at my last.” Samantha says.

“And my shotgun only has 5 more rounds.” Lizette finishes. “We’ll have to use our ammunition sparingly. Only shoot if you have no other choice and every shot you fire better kill something.”

As they move on, the tunnel splits into three paths.

“What now Lizette?” Samantha asks.

Lizette stares at the tunnels, then decides to take the center passage. A few minutes later, they come across another three way split.

“Christ, please don’t tell me this is a maze.” Clarissa moans.

“Alright, everyone.” Lizette says. “No matter what happens, we do not split up, you hear. We stay together.”

Everyone has seen enough horror movies to know what happens when the party splits, so they all agree. But then they hear a voice.

“Naomi?! Naomi where are you!? It’s me, Mia!”

Fire turns to look straight into the rightmost tunnel and says, “Mia?”. Then she starts running into the tunnel saying, “Hold on, sister! I’m coming!”

Lizette curses and tells her troops, “Get after her!”

When they come to another split, they see Fire take the center route. Eveline manages to follow her in, but behind her the passage contracts and closes, cutting them off them the rest of the team.

“Go right!” Lizette yells and guides the team further.

Next time they arrive at a two way split. This time the passage closes right after Lizette went in, cutting her off from Alice, Clarissa and Samantha.

“FUCK!” Lizette yells.

“Lizette, are you alright?” Samantha calls through the membrane separating them.

“I’m fine.” Lizette calls back. “Try to get to the other side of the maze. I’ll see you on the other side.”

Lizette takes a moment to catch her breath, then stares into the passage. Now she is all alone in the tower, and naked too. But if she could make this work...she knew it'd be worth it.
