Dreams

Aaralon dreamed.

He dreamed of a forest, the trees heavy with foliage, the undergrowth teeming with life. He walked among the bows, the scent of flowers heavy on the air as a cool breeze washed over him.

With a light heart he reached out to pluck one of the flowers, a rose.

The petals turned to liquid in his hand, the rich crimson of fresh blood.

He turned, panic suddenly gripping his heart as the leaves disintegrated, the air becoming filled with a blinding storm of ash. He choked on the reek and taste, the taste of burned corpses as he tried to run, tried to flee from the horror of the dying forest.

Every step he took the plants wilted and faded around him, he became sure that he was dragging **** behind him like a long cloak.
