Aurelie tries to unchain her ankles

The redhead was sinking through the green water. Feeling the panic grow inside her heart, she realised she would never be able to swim with heavy chains wrapped around her body. Frantically, her hands reached for her feet, explored the many coils of rusty chain that had been wrapped there. The links were so tight that they pressed her ankle bones painfully together.

As she sank through the cold water, her fingers found a carabiner. They hastily manipulated it, releasing it from the links it had been snapped to. That allowed her to uncoil the long chain from her legs, turn after turn while she kept sinking. She worked fast and before she was totally out of breath she had managed to free her feet. With deep relief she saw the chain plunge towards the abysses.

She tried to swim towards the surface but the weight of the chain wrapped around her neck **** ther body to turn upside down as it dragged her downward. There was no way she could swim effectively like that but she quickly found that it was impossible to turn back toward the surface.

Her lungs began to burn, her movements began to slow down as she kept sinking deeper and deeper despite her most frantic efforts. The burning in her lungs grew more painful, the craving for air more urgent. Only by sheer willpower did she resist the need to breathe in, as that would only fill her chest with sea water. Releasing her feet had been a terrible mistake, she suddenly realised!
