Kirie follows the corridor until she comes around a corner. Then she keeps running until she goes around another, then another and another. Finally she stops to listen to what's going on around her. She doesn’t hear anybody following her. She has come across many T shaped crossings by now. She has no idea about the layout of this monstrous structure so she just picked a side, hoping she wouldn’t run into a bunch of Towerlings, and went for it. Kirie takes a deep breath and sighs. She actually managed to get away from them.
She has no illusions about where she is. This is the tower. It’s the only way to explain this building made of flesh. The woman with the white hair, that’s probably their leader. Or at least one of their leaders. Kirie needs to get this information back to Rose Squadron HQ somehow. On top of that, she is actually naked inside the enemy’s lair, has no weapons either, or soldiers left with her.
“Oh, Kirie. What have you gotten yourself into?” The Asian woman whispers to herself.
Anyways, standing around here won’t be doing her any good. At worst she’ll get found, at best she’ll just grow hungry. As Kirie traverses the tower she goes from one room to another.
“Why are all these rooms empty?” She ponders.
But then she hears sounds from the next room.
Kirie walks along the wall of pulsing flesh and peeks into the next room. There she sees another woman, naked like herself. She has blond hair, is standing over the body of a Lupick and is stabbing it with the sharp end of a decapitated Spiderling leg.
"Clearly this woman is not a friend of the Towerlings. Hey, maybe we can get out of here together." Kirie thinks to herself.
Kirie comes out of hiding and says, “Hello, are you …”
The woman turns around and aims the Spiderling leg at Kirie. She looks to her left, her right, then she runs away.
“Wait, I’m a friend!” Kirie yells, but the woman doesn’t want to listen.
When the woman is gone, Kirie looks over the Lupick’s body. It is full of stab wounds and blood is seeping out of it. There is no question it is dead. Next to the Lupick lies a … can of peaches? Well that certainly looks out of place. Taking inspiration from the woman’s weapon, Kirie wraps both her hands on the Lupick’s largest claw and yanks it out. The claw comes out with a wet crunching sound. There, at least now she’s got something that can serve as a dagger. Armed with a claw, Kirie heads in the direction to woman ran into.
Despite the tower having no windows, this place is actually fairly illuminated. From time to time, Kirie comes across orbs that give off white light hanging from the walls. Or enters a room with a large one hanging from the ceiling.
The more she learns of the place, the more Kirie feels it resembles something from a Lovecraft story. Eventually she comes to a tunnel that seems like it goes lower into the tower. She decided to herself that this wasn't going to become her home for the rest of her life. That she was going to escape this place.
