It’s Elliot

As the woman rounds the next corner, she suddenly stands face to face with someone she recognizes.

“Elliot?” One woman asks.

“Kirie!” The other says excitedly.

Kirie jumps back and readies the Lupick claw in her hand.

“Who are you?” Kirie demans. “I saw Elliot trapped in a pod. I was unable to rescue her. Why do you look like her?”

“Chose to abandoned me.” Elliot thinks in her head.

“It’s me, Captain.” Elliot says. “They released me soon after you left. They … they tried to change me. But they failed. I’m still on your side.”

“How can I trust you?” Kirie asks, still pointing the Lupick claw at Elliot.

Elliot thinks about it a second, then says, “I can bring you to the rest of the squad.”

Kirie’s expression changes to surprise and asks, “So their all here?”

“Yes.” Elliot says, “I can lead you to them. Just follow me.” And starts walking away.

Kirie has no idea if it is safe to trust Elliot. She may be faking, just like Roxy did. But if she is allied to the tower, why should she fake it? There are dozens, if not thousands of Towerlings here. If Elliot is really on their side she could easily have them overwhelm Kirie. Of course, Elliot now seems to know far more about the inside of the Tower then she previously did, which was highly suspect as well.

Elliot walks up to a wall and focuses on the Octi brood mothers. She remembers there having been some Octi among Roxy’s ambush. That means it is pretty certain some of Kirie’s subordinates were taken by the Octi. As soon as Kirie sees the soldiers she had to to command for were turned into Octi brood mothers, she’ll be easy to break.

The wall opens up and provides a tunnel for Elliot to the Octi breeding pools. Kirie follows behind her, a safe distance away, weary about her surroundings. As for as she knows the walls may come and attack her any moment.

When they arrive the women enter a large room containing one large indoor pool filled with clear water. Several large mounds of flesh grow from below, breaking the surface of the water, creating small islands everywhere. It is on these islands that women are trapped. They lie with their backs against the mound and biomass that the tower is made of has grown around their arms and legs, trapping them. On top of that, tentacles are attached to their nipples, draining their breasts of milk.

“This is one of the breeding pools.” Elliot says.

“One of?” Kirie asks.

“Yes, there are many others, as there are a great deal of Octi that come from this Tower.” Elliot explains. “There's a chance our friends are at a different pool.”

Kirie frowns and asks, “How do you know all of this.”

“I don’t know.” Elliot says as she shrugs. “I just suddenly know all this stuff. I guess the pod I was in put all this knowledge inside me to try and make me a better agent. Too bad I’ve got enough willpower to resist it.”

Elliot steps out of the tunnel towards the pool. Before her the tower creates more biomass for her to walk on, creating a bridge. Kirie follows Elliot to the first island. They find seven pregnant women there in medium and heavy levels of infection, but nobody they know.

“Look at how pregnant they are.” Elliot says, noticing their bellies.

Kirie checks it out. She feels sorry for these women. There is nothing she can do for them.

As Elliot creates another bridge to the second island Kirie notices some Octi floating around. They seem to keep to themselves, ignoring them. Yet that does not prevent Kirie from clutching the claw she’s got as her only weapon tightly.
Suddenly the island before them starts to change. The mound starts to expand to allow one of the women to hover above the water. Kirie wonders why the tower would hold an apparently 9 month pregnant woman over a pool. Then Kirie sees the woman’s labia open and sees an egg comes out of her. The egg looks like a soft membrane with inside it a white core and is half the size of a human fist. As the egg falls out of the woman’s pussy it lands in the water, where Kirie watches it sink into the pool and sees it fall next too thousands of eggs in varying degrees of maturation.

On the second island they discover someone they recognize.

Kirie runs up to her and calls “Clarissa!”

Clarissa raises her head, unable to move her arms or legs instead and asks, “Captain?”

“Clarissa. I’m here. I’m gonna take you out of here.” Kirie says as she pulls the tentacles from Clarissa’s breasts, causing some of her milk to spray out onto Clarissa's pregnant belly.

One of the Octi nearby notices what is happening and starts floating in Clarissa’s direction.

“It’s too late for me.” Clarissa says solemnly. “They … they already bred me. I’ve got small Octi growing inside of me, captain. Go before they put some in you too.”

Elliot stands between Kirie and the Octi, holds up her hand and yells “Back off! Stay there!”

The Octi stops approaching, but keeps doesn't turn away from them.

“You need to go, captain.” Clarissa says. “Tell the commander about what happens in the tower. Myada needs to know. You can come and save me later.”

Kirie, astonished by Clarissa’s bravery lets the tentacles fall out of her hands. They quickly search up Clarissa’s breasts and start milking her again.

“I’ll come back for you, Clarissa.” Kirie says. “Until then, hold strong.”

Kirie and Elliot escape along the bridge back to the tunnel they came from just as a nest of fully matured Octi break from the surface for the first time. They are small and spread their arms as they raise from the water, splashing water all around them. When Elliot and Kirie arrive their hair is soaking wet from all the splashing.
