Aurelie introduces herself

Aurelie made an old-fashioned curtsy, smiling widely to the Captain.

"This is an honour to meet you, Captain Stone. My name is Aurelie and indeed I am requesting permission to come aboard and take passage on your magnificent ship. I am a freelance journalist specialised in historic fairs. I would like to write a paper about this galley and your pirate island," she said. "Of course, I shall pay the usual fee," she added. "Maybe you have read my article about that viking replica? Or maybe you have read my blog about historic fairs?"

"As for my bag, I'd prefer to keep it with me for the moment. I won't need a cabin. I'm used to historic fairs, I told you, so if you can spare just a simple hammock, that would be perfect. I will only request a cabin for a few minutes. I would like to change into something… more fitting to this place."

With those words, she opened her bag and showed Stone her three-cornered hat and the hilt of her boarding sabre that were on the top of it. "I intend to mix with your crew as well as I can. I have some knowledge of sailing, so if you need a hand for the manoeuvre, do not hesitate to ask me. It will be a pleasure to work with your crew. Once we are under sail and all manoeuvres are out of the way, I'll be very pleased to follow you around your ship."
