Chapter 3 by ErisAphrodite ErisAphrodite

How does Orus proceed?

He searches for other options.

Approaching so directly might be just a little too obvious. Should the rumors be true, Orus would be wise to take caution in this matter. He lowered his hand, and stalked around the outside of the tower, making his way around the old stone walls in the night's parting shadow.

It was not a wide tower, and he was cautious to keep his footfalls light and quiet just in case the perceived solace was a lie. Something about the tower made him feel as though it was meant to feel lonely.

He soon found a window in the back of the tower, sitting just above chin-level. Entering from here would be better for avoiding notice, and luckily it was but a simple wooden shutter, left ajar carelessly. He surmised this was the only other option, and reached to pull the shutter aside. It opened without sound, and he peered into the dark room beyond.

What did Orus see?
