Finding a better way to do things

You really want to see Robin again, but you don't want to appear too needy so you resist the urge to drop by her clinic. Instead, you go downtown to see if you can do any good with your powers. After walking around for an hour without helping anyone in need, you start to rethink your approach. Trying to chance upon a crime in progress isn't working.

Passing a news stand, you see the front page of the Tribune and it's running a story about the government spying on its people. You pay for the paper and sit down on a bus bench nearby to read it. When you finish, you have an idea, and you look up the NSA headquarters on your phone. There are only pictures of the building from the outside, but you guess it's normal due to the NSA's high level of secrecy.

Freezing time, you teleport to the NSA headquarters and proceed inside and past the multiple security checkpoints. Once you're through, you activate the invisibility ring and restart time. The men and women in black suits all around start moving again and you feel like you're in the Men in Black movie. You wouldn't be surprised to see aliens walking around.

The layout is pretty straightforward and you eventually make your way over to what appears to be the main control room where you see employees accessing it by swiping their id cards, using their palm prints, scanning their retinas, and keying in an access code. Additionally, the opaque revolving door serving as the only access point only allows one person to pass at a time. Even with your magical powers, this is a tough obstacle for you to overcome.

At first, you tried walking in behind a woman, but the door moves too fast and you can't squeeze in without brushing up behind her. Next, you stop time as another employee is making his way through the door, but it's a tight fit and you have to restart time in order for the revolving door to keep moving. However, if you do that, the man is going to notice your presence immediately and start freaking out.

You're about to give up when you remember your mind control ability. Activating it, you whisper into the employee's ear, commanding him to ignore you pressed up against him when time restarts and act as normal once you two get into the room. Thinking it through in your head one last time, you resume time and the two of you quickly move through the revolving door into the main room. As the employee you sneaked in behind walks off to a terminal, you take a moment to observe the room before you. It's a massive room with monitors everywhere and NSA employees all staring at screens and talking in hushed voices. On one large screen, you can see satellite images of North Korea. On another, is a live transcript of the French president's conversation with someone. It's in French, but seconds later a English version appears next to it. It appears to be a conversation with his mistress.

You walk around the room thoughtfully, trying to figure out how you can use all of this information to help other people. You're peering over some employee's shoulder at some call logs, when red lights start flashing and alarms sound.

"What's going on?" someone asks.

A woman in uniform appears from a backroom. She looks fit and athletic, more like a traditional solider than a computer geek.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Please stay where you are while we identify the breach. Looks like someone brought in a cellphone," she announces as armed men start making their way into the room. Everyone groans, as you pat the front pocket of your jeans.

"Shit!" you whisper.
