Met With A Merchant

As your group continued to walk through the woods Jenessa came up to you, "Alright so we should be hitting my old hunter's paths in about an hour."

"You're sure this will get us to the border sooner?" You asked in return,

"Very, my dad told me he and a few friends made them so they could sell pelt to cities in Falcone if prices in Reness weren't good enough," Jenessa replied,

"John!" Kent yelled out causing the two of you to turn around and see a large horse pulled wagon speeding down the road towards you,

"Christ." You mumbled out as you pulled out your sword.

The wagon started to slow and came to a halt right next to the three of you. Kent and you approached the wagon as Jenessa kept a sharp aim ready for anything. Suddenly a voice called out, "Are ya Reness soldiers!?"

Kent looked at you then looked back with a confused look, "Yes!"

The door shot open and a short fat merchant jumped out of the wagon, "That's fantastic! I'm getting out of Reness while I still can and if you have any brains you are doing the same! So here is my deal for you, you come with me and protect me until we get into Falcone land and I can get you into the city of Grenus!" The man said with a charismatic smile,

You slowly put your weapon away, "Really? We just go with you make sure you don't get robbed and you get us into Grenus?"

"Aye! So what do ya say!?" The man shouted again,

"First can you take it down a bit?" Kent said sheathing his sword. The merchant let out a nod and continued to grin,

"Listen we can get there quicker if we use my old paths, but his wagon can't make it." Jenessa explained,

"But he can confirm us into the city." Kent reminded you. The two of them looked at you waiting for a decision.
