Head Back Home

The journey back to the cave is mercifully silent, the female hanging limply from your arm as you move.

When you make it back you place her down at the back of the cave, looking her over you feel a momentary urge to take her again right away but it passes quickly. Being replaced instead with hunger, after all you have had a lot of work with no food.

Looking around the cave you find a Deer with some meat left on it, you begin to tear into it with abandon. The meat is just about to go on the the turn, you think to yourself that you will need to go on the hunt in the morning.

Turning around to look at the female you see that she has pushed herself up onto shaky arms, she watches you from behind a sheet of hair. Yet her eyes seem to stare straight through you, you cannot shake the feeling like you are being wieght up by her.

You lock eyes for a long moment, her eyes flicker from yours down to the meat in your hands. You follow her gaze, you remember the Elder Males feeding the females they had.
