Yes, But...

Anna knew that she had to ignore her worries, if only for a few moments to solve the problem on the board.

She held the chalk up to begin solving the problem, taking note of her own trembling hand, she kept the other fixed to the side of her skirt, which felt like it had shrunk the second she stood up in front of the class, she had a reputation to uphold, after all.

"So... As you can see... Um..."

She began to stutter, at least the others would think she was just struggling with the question at hand, as unlikely as that would be.

Mister Smith spoke up "Is there a problem, Anna?" He asked, startling Anna slightly.

"Um, no, Sir," She replied, quickly beginning to solve the problem on the board, writing as fast as she could, given the situation, she just wanted to return to her seat and get this day over with.

She had all but finished the problem, her work was shown, but as she was about to write the answer itself she dropped the chalk.

Not good.

If she bent down now to pick up the small piece of chalk she might expose herself!

Sill as she thought things through she did feel a slight twinge of excitement.
