The next morning

Aaralon had always chafed at the fact that Basic Domestic Magic was a mandatory class, but now he felt quite glad at the knowledge ingrained by those hours of long tedium. With some well placed cantrips, the whole place was cleaned up, nothing remaining behind to tell of the night's failed experiment.

Picking up the book he stealthily made his way back to his dormitory and slipped into bed, sighing as exhaustion took hold of him, not even leaving him the time to reflect on the night's events...

It was just as well that there were no classes the next day. After a leisurely sleep-in, Aaralon strolled down to the school's small park, where several students were enjoying the sunlight. He found a spot in the shade and sat down to think.
