Find a Mysterious Guild Hall

Technology.

The thought seems to roll around in your mind like oil over water. Technology was rare in this world, abstract even. Technology seemed to carry the same mystique and distrust that Satanists had back home. Their hide outs were like Bohemian Groves, and their leaders were as Ron Hubbard. No one trusted a technomage... And yet for all for all the fear and mistrust that surrounded them, you just happened to hear of one such location while drinking at a local pub. Immediately your curiosity was kindled. What sorts of discoveries had been made here? What did the marriage of science and magic look like? What if you could share some of your knowledge and get in with the guild?

You could barely contain your excitement, and it took only a little bit of consideration before you found yourself following a lonely path upwards towards a mountain on the horizon. It wasn't one of those impossibly large mountains that you can see from weeks away, but it would be a journey taking you the better part of the day, and so you walk.

It's late in the afternoon before you get there, and your find yourself grateful for the warmer season and climate. You'll likely have to spend the night in the woods if you don't find lodgings with the guild. Slowly that simple path becomes a wide rocky way, and then a finely cobbled path, and before long you tread along bricks flawlessly lain together. Their seams are so fine, you doubt you could fit a fingernail between them. Your eyes open wide as you behold the dark stoned path. All of this was created a mere days journey from Resseldon.

It's not long after that you find two mountain ridges rising up on either side of you, and down in the valley below your eyes fall on a magnificent black marble wall. It stands two stories high at least, and remotely resembles medieval parapets with turrets lining the length. The strangest thing about it is the series of pipes the flow all along and through the wall. On the other side you can spy a larger keep as well as a cluster of industrial looking buildings with tall glass windows and similarly black walls. Some, you realize, are even reinforced with steel.
