Your phone rings

The burner phone Windstress gave you rings.

"Hello?"

"Hello John." It's Finder, Windstress' husband. "I sensed your magic being used on Seductress. I'm not sure what you're up to, but we've got a situation and I can't talk for long. I need you to come to my house right now. Windstress left for the grocery store 5 minutes ago, then just came back. It's Changer. You're the only one who can save me in time. Please hurry."

Finder gives you the address and you catch Julia up on the situation while she gets changed in the bathroom. Since time is of the essence, you have an idea and look up the address online. Using the streetview option, you're able to obtain a picture of where Finder and Windstress live and you teleport there with Julia.

"Woah!" Julia exclaims when you two appear in front of the house. "That's so fun! And convenient. You're my first call next time. Who needs a phone app?"

It's a nice house in a good part of town with a nice front yard that has a beautiful water fountain. You notice that the door is ajar as you approach. You grab Julia's hand and stop time, assuming the effects would apply to her as well.

"Did you just stop time?" Julia asks when she notices how quiet it is.

You point at the fountain, where the water has frozen midstream. "Yup. Better safe than sorry. We still don't know what Changer's other rings do."

Inside, you don't see anyone so you explore the house with Julia. There's nobody downstairs. Upstairs, you enter the master bedroom and you see bathroom light on. You walk in and Finder is face up on the floor in a pool of blood. There's a knife plunged into his chest where his heart would be. His magic ring is gone.

Julia comes in right behind you and gasps. "Oh my god. She killed him."

You hold Julia's hand and restart time. "She must have known that he's the only person who can find her," you say. "Now she has his ring, which means she can hunt us whether we use our rings."

"We should get out of here quickly in case she comes back," Julia says. She's staring at Finder's body.

That's when you hear footsteps coming up the stairs.
