You return to your cave. It's cosy and warm, with a central firepit and fur blankets for the nighttime and a collection of minor magical trinkets lining the walls. You've always wondered why the mages never bothered to take them, even when they saw them. You take a few charms down and put them on.

Oh, that's why. Because they're awful. Still, better than nothing... but now for the real prize. You reach behind a stone statue of a snakeman and pull out a book. But it's not just any book...
This is the Carmina Carnila Libri, bound in the skin of corrupted nuns and one of the most renowned texts in demonology, with a heavy focus on sex demons. With this, you could summon up a demon to taint the unsuspecting adventurers and transform them into willing slaves. Of course, it would come at a massive cost to your soul, not to mention the wrath of your ancestors. Even just holding the book requires you to shut out some of the angrier voices so you can think clearly.

You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
