Glenn hears footsteps from within the cave. “Seems like Ukla-, ehm, Ulal has found what he was searching.” One of the man says between two bites of deer. They idly continue their chatter until they see Ulal stepping out of the cave with the elegant lady. “Wow.” One of them whispers low-key as the two walk by. Ulal excuses himself from his entourage and walks at Glenn. “You will be rewarded handsomely for this.” He says quietly, bristling with happiness. “It will be greater than anything you ever had, trust me.” “How about night with that lady herself?” A man to his left, that seems to be drunk on self-made ale, says.

Ulal slowly turns to him, his eyes wide, nothing of the happiness in them, only disgust. The man realizes his mistake but he is already pulled into the air by the throat. Ulal’s metal hand claws into his neck, the sharp ends of his fingers drawing blood, as the man kicks in desperation. “No unworthy filth will put their hands on Aclysia.” He hisses.

Glenn takes a desperate look at the waiting lady. He knows that the name is spoken in fear by some but not the story behind it. Either way the Witch of the South currently is experimenting with her new form, looking at her hand as she makes it change colour and form. He can’t expect any help from her.

“Ehm, Master Ulal.” The Demonmagus turns his icy gaze at Glenn, “I go by Lord now.” “L-lord Ulal.” Glenn quickly corrects himself. “He spoke fuelled by alcohol, as your gift to him would you please forgive this one transgression.” The people are impressed by their leader, able to negotiate with a half-demon as he easefully chokes a man with one hand is not a feat they would have thought possible for him.

Ulal looks at the small nervous bundle of nerves for a moment. “Fine.” He says and the man touches the ground again. The Demonmagus sighs and returns to earlier happiness. “Well, while I am here I might as well tell you to go to my base and search for my people’s camp there. Living inside or around the Wekgrond in the next weeks is dangerous.” He turns to the man he was just choking. The formerly drunk guy rubs his throat and shrinks under his gaze. “You, I will forgive your earlier comment and even give you back your reward if you inform the cult of five for me. Guide them to my people within the next two weeks. Understand?”

The man nods, cold sweat on his forehead. “Well, what are you waiting for then?” Ulal asks and the man hurriedly leaves the camp behind. Ulal wants to go when Glenn asks a final question. “What do you mean it is going to be dangerous?” The Demonmagus chuckles, “If I tell you it is going to ruin the surprise.”

Ulal walks off and back to Aclysia. “You are one of the fierce kind, aren’t you?” Aclysia asks calmly, “If you want to put it that way, where was I?” “You were about to tell me of that Ulric figure.” “Ah, yes, interesting guy, albeit a bit brutish. You see he is a rebel up to the north that….” Their voice slowly fades as they walk away from the campfire.

“What are we going to do, Glenn?” A man asks, “First we eat up. Whatever that guy has planned he is still not home so it is clearly going to take a bit. Tomorrow we wait for the hunters and gatherers to return and then we will talk about If we leave the Wekgrond behind or go to that camp.” Glenn starts eating again. Agreeing mumbles around the campfire. Glenn already knows that they will go to the camp in the end; Uklag has given them baths and sex, two goods rarely obtainable for men that aren’t noble house servants. This ‘Lord Ulal’, although he seems even more psychotic then his predecessor, promises them even greater rewards.

He sighs and accepts the fact that he will likely spent the rest of his live haggling with an entity that could incinerate him with a single thought.
