Emergency meeting

When Sylvie has walked out of sight Eve quickly takes her cellphone and makes a call.
“Michael?” Eve says when she connects. “We need to talk, it’s an emergency. Yes, I know lectures are about to start, but something horrible has happened. We need to talk as soon as possible.”
Eve could barely absorb any information during the lecture. She never wanted anyone to get hurt. Definitely not her friends or anyone her friends care about.
When the lecture finishes she rushes out to meet with Michael. They meet in cafeteria and Eve tells Michael everything what she heard from Sylvie.

“That is horrible.” Michael says. “I can’t believe anyone in our committee would just **** himself on anyone. We all joined to make relations better, not worse.”
“Please try your best to find out who it is.” Eve asks. “The least I can do for my friend is find out which bastard did this and have him pay the consequences.”
“Of course,” Michael replies. “But there’s always a chance he pretended to be part of our committee because he thought that would help him get laid.”
“I understand that, Michael.” Eve says reassuringly. “Which makes it an even greater priority to find him. People pretending to be part of the committee and causing harm in their name can seriously damage the unity between the students.”
Michael nods.
“Another thing.” Eve continues. “When setting up for white … sorry, diversity Wednesday, we completely forgot about the gay and lesbian students. If we do another diversity Wednesday we’ll have to include them as well.”
Michael cocks his head and asks, “If?”
Eve sighs and says, “I have already asked members of the student council to prepare a referendum. It’s just to see how much support we’ve got so far, but it will be happening soon. If the support we managed to collect is high enough we can organize a 2nd event.”
“Right.” Michael says. “Let’s hope for the best.”
