He puts a stop to it

"Oh my god!" Alex moaned as Gaby took him into her mouth, "Oh fuck.... Gaby stop, we have to stop I can't cheat on her."

Gaby looked up in shock at his words, then as she saw the look on his face her look turned to horror as she quickly scooted away from him and curled up and began crying.

Alex took a few moments to collect himself, then pulls his pants up and sat there looking at Gaby crying. He was shocked at what had happened, but his compassion for his friend took over and he got up and walked over to her, sitting down next to her and putting his arm around her, pulling her against him. They sat there like this for a couple of minutes, before she finally spoke up.

"When I found out about Erik..."

"What do you know about that?" Alex asked.

"I know she spent all morning with him... and then Brian... and then your story..."

"She wouldn't... she couldn't..." Alex said trying to convince himself as much as trying to convince Gaby.

"She wouldn't," Gaby responded, nuzzling up into Alex's neck. "I know that now, you are too good of a guy for her to do that, but when Brian felt the need to tell you, I just.... oh god I'm so destructive," Gaby exclaimed burying her head in her hands again.

"I cheated on Matt because I was ready to break up with him. But instead of hurting him by telling him, I fucked another guy and made sure he hated me. In my mind that was easier... I thought this would be easier..."

"Jesus, Gaby," he said, then paused for a few minutes. "You know Matt and I have drifted. I know he couldn't understand why I stayed friends with you. And then with his wild streak, which I don't blame on you cheating on him, he'd have done it even if you had just dumped him. But that pushed Makayla away from wanting to spend time with him and..."

Alex drifted off into thought for a moment.

"I guess what I'm saying is that your friendship has become important to me, and while this was a pretty... wild way of solving the problem, I appreciate that you were looking out for me."

Gaby gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I tell you though, I'm going to have a hard time not thinking about what happened," he added.

"Hard time, indeed," Gaby snickered.

"Oh geeze, " he replied burying his face in his hands. "Our friendship is going to change because of this isn't it."

"Well," she answered, "You did just have your penis in my mouth a few minutes ago, so yes I would say it will be changing," she laughed.

At that moment they felt rain drops hit their skin.

"I guess we better head back," he said.

It started as just a sprinkle but by the time they had gathered their stuff and started heading back it had become a torrential downpour. They hurried back as fast as they could, trying not to slip on the muddy path. But, when they got to the stream they had crossed only an hour earlier, it was a violent and fast moving and too wide to jump across.

"What are we going to do? We can't get back and we're both soaked to the bone?" Gaby asked worried.

"I don't know... that cabin we passed a ways back? Maybe we can try and get help there?"

Alex slipped as he turned around but Gaby grabbed his hand, and they headed back to the cabin.
