Visit Emily at her work.

You decided that you needed to be more involved in your fiance's life. It was a subtle reminder that you could make independent decisions, and certainly displayed a level of control. It was a decent drive and only a little out of the way, and soon enough you were parked out the front.

You'd only ever been here twice before so you weren't too familiar with the staff. You walked into the front office and met a middle-aged man seated at the desk. He looked up at you and smiled wryly.

"Can I help you?" He asked as he tapped his pen on the desk.

"Yeah. I'm here to pick up my fiance, Emily." You told him, and enjoyed the frustrated look that crossed his face.

"You're her boyfriend? Okay I guess... Sign into the guestbook and head through that door." He mentioned to the wire door behind him.

You did as he said and after having written your name down, you walked through the door and outside. It was a small courtyard between a few separate buildings. The day was coming to an end so there were plenty of kids running around and playing. You spotted Emily sitting on a concrete fence while watching the kids. She must have been the supervisor for the afternoon while the parents came to pick their kids up.

She wore a thin red dress that covered her body mostly, however it did cling to her figure in a complimentary way. You couldn't help but check out her heart-shaped ass.

"Hey babe." You said as you walked up behind her.

"Mark? What are you doing here? What happened?" She asked at first confused, then concerned.

"I'm just here to pick you up. I know you finish work soon." You said. She watched you for a few seconds in silence, almost suspiciously.

"I do, but I have to watch the kids until their parents all pick them up." Emily explained with a shrug.

"You might as well just go home, I can't leave yet." She added.

"How long will that take?" You asked.

"Twenty minutes usually." She said, offering a kind smile to a passing parent and child.

"Surely your workmate can do it." You said before turning around and walking to the office. You heard Emily call out to you, but you pretended not to hear. After all, she was probably going to try and convince you to not ask her workmate.

"Hey mate." You greeted him as you stepped through the door. He looked up at you.

"Yes?" He barely met your gaze.

"I have to go now and Emily needs to come with me. Can you look after the kids?" You asked him, looking at your watch idly.

He tutted. "Alright fine." He said as he stood up and waved your fiance over.

"Hey Emily, I'll watch them now. You can go ahead." He said, giving you a pretty cold gaze.

"Thanks Pete! I owe you one." She said as she followed you outside.

"You didn't need to do that." She began to mutter to you the moment you stepped outside. "I don't mind putting extra time into work." She grumbled as you drove home.

You turned this into a habit. Every day you would pick Emily up before going home. She didn't seem to appreciate it too much and you guessed that she didn't like how you were becoming more involved in her life, especially with her routine. It was barely a few days before Emily reminded you about Wendy's party, which you agreed to go to.
