Leg it!

Aaralon wasn't taking any chances. He couldn't think what the six-armed lady might be and that wasn't good. He knew all the local humanoid creatures in the locale and didn't know about her. It was the Mists. The Mists played with time and distance in a magical way.

"Alright," Aaralon feinted, buying time to clamber out and even edge a foot towards the door. The woman-creature regarded him with a faint smirk; she was either amused or hungry.

"BLINDO!" :: it was a quick cast spell Aaralon often had pre-cast. The flash was blinding, Aaralon suspected he hadn't quited squeezed his eyes just in time. His vision as blurred with purple clouds. He didn't wait. Aaralon charged forwards, head down, one arm up and bundled towards the exit.

He made it! The mist was cool against his skin. He could sense someone/something behind him. Aaralon kept running. He sprinted forwards, into the mists, away from the woman and away from the College.

He still couldn't see, a few minutes later Aaralon's vision was still clouded with mist. The purple haze of the flash-blind had faded but he could barely see his hand in front of his face. It was the mists themselves, Aaralon though, though he wasn't sure whether that was good news or bad. Or was he wrong? Had he managed to nearly blind himself with a frantic and paniced spell.

He had escaped. Aaralon wasn't sure if running had been the right idea but he was sure he'd made it into the clear. In the Mists nothing could be taken for granted. This was a dangerous place - which was exactly why no one walked to the College. He had to escape the Mists themselves before he was completely safe.

Aaralon had a choice; risk a navigation spell and perhaps attract something to the magic or pick a direction and walk.
