Not here but there is hope.

I freeze noticing the empty slot under the gnome and instantly remember using the key last Tuesday , leaving it on the kitchen counter.

"Mum, the key is not here I forgot to put it back last time i used it!" I said turning back to her in shame.

"Laurie ! How could you be so careless ? How are we going to get home now ?" She screamed back at me.

"It's your fault in the first place rushing us out half naked without taking a key." I replied try to defend myself.

"We'll just call a key smith to unlock the door ..." She stop abruptly noticing that without pockets she didn't take her cellphone either.

The situation is gloomy they are stranded wearing next to nothing without keys nor phones. They'll have to go to a neighbours house to borrow the phone or find an other way inside the house.

After a check all doors and windows are locked tight. Three of the neighbouring house are were boys from your school live and you are terrified of the rumours that will start if you go knocking on their doors in only a T-shirt.

Hope of getting out of this without humiliation wears thin unless.....
