Chapter 26 by Cretan_Bull14
How does Zack respond?
He lets Don be angry for him
“SWISH! BISHOP WINS IT FOR THE WILDCATS! BISHOP WINS IT FOR THE WILDCATS!” Jimmy shouted as Kevin pumped his fists.
Before either of the twins knew what happened, Jimmy was caught in his father’s grip while Olivia twisted Kevin’s ear. Victoria glared at them while they pleaded with their parents not to punish them.
“ZACK! I’M SO SORRY!” screamed the blonde as she helped her friend clean himself up. “That gravy is hot. You didn’t get burned, did you?”
“No, just got covered is all.” Zack chuckled before throwing the twins an angry look.
“I’ve had enough of you little shits. I don’t want to hear or see either of you for the rest of the night! In your rooms. NOW!” Don yelled.
“But Dad, we were just having a little bit of fun!” Kevin begged.
“And I didn’t even do nothing!” whined Jimmy.
“I don’t care. You two shitheads are in lockdown for the rest of the week!” Mister Walker exclaimed to his deviant sons. “I’m sorry Zack. Let Olivia throw your shirt in the washer before it gets stained.”
“Thank you, Sir! I have my bag out in the car. I’m just going to grab a clean shirt. Is there a place I can change?” Zack pleaded.
“I think my idiot sons gave us reason to dispense with the formalities this evening. I’m going to go eat in my study. You can change after dinner, if you like. Now, please, finish your dinner,” Don blushed with embarrassment at the behavior of his sons.
“WOW! Daddy must really like you! I’ve never seen him blush like that before. Are you sure you’re okay? You probably don’t want to stay here now,” Vicky sulked. “This day couldn’t have gone any worse. Why couldn’t my parents have just gotten me a dog?”
“Don’t feel bad. I know how annoying little brothers can be. Especially when their siblings have company over. Tell you what? If the invite still stands, I’d love to stay over tonight,” Zack said as he took Victoria’s hand.
“You know what little brothers are like? How is that? You don’t have any younger siblings!” Vicky puzzled.
“Of course I know what little bastards younger brothers can be. I’ve been one my whole life. There were more than a few times that my dad wanted to kill me on Taylor’s behalf!” Zack laughed.
Vicky smiled as Zack once again wiped away a tear from her face. Unbeknownst to the pair sitting at the table, Olivia Walker smiled as she watched her daughter and her friend. It had been a long time since the mother of four had seen her daughter have someone good in her life. She knew immediately when she saw the boy that he was harboring feelings for her daughter, and she hoped that Zachary could be the one to make her Victoria smile again.
“Okay Zachary, your shirt is in the washer. It probably won’t be ready for you to wear until tomorrow though. If you need to, you can borrow one of Donald’s shirts,” the older woman informed her daughter’s friend.
“Thank you, Misses Walker, but that won’t be necessary. I have my clothes from our trip in the trunk of my car,” Zack informed his hostess.
“Such a smart boy! After you two finish eating, Victoria can show you up to her apartment so you ca change. I assume he’ll be staying with you tonight. Might as well have him take his things to your place,” Olivia suggested to her daughter.
“Apartment?” Zack questioned Vicky.
What apartment is she talking about?
