It goes pretty well

You meet Hudson at a nearby park and you smile at him. He looks very nice, even though he is only wearing some blue jeans, a gray flannel shirt, and some new Converse shoes. It's a look that you like, as it makes him seem not so uptight and more natural than if he had wore some fancy clothing. You also are relieved that he's dressed like that because you don't have fancy clothing for dates. Right now you are wearing a blue turtleneck, black pants, and some old sneakers that need to be replaced.

Hudson notices you walking toward him and meets you halfway. "Good afternoon lovely." he said softly, smiling at you, "You look nice."

You shake your head. "I don't look good; you, on the other hand, look quite handsome." you say, "And it's nice to see you again."

"You look beautiful, no matter what you think." Hudson says, "Now, how about we talk a walk? Stretch our legs?"

You nod and go for the walk. Hudson points out all the flowers and tells you everything he knows about them. It's fascinating listening to him as he tells you things you never knew. It also helps that his voice attracts you to him like honey attracts flies.

Once your walk is finish, he takes you to a nearby fair where he wins a small stuffed dog for you. He also takes you on the rides and buys you lunch. You try to pay for it yourself, but he insists on paying for you. It's nice, though you hope he'll let you pay on another date.

He manages to keep you there until the fireworks show and you cuddle up to him as you watch. Hudson smiles at you and walks you home. You're a bit embarrassed that you're still at the shelter and he has to see you there, but he doesn't make it feel strange. Instead he bids you good night and kisses your cheek. He stays there until you walk into the building, making sure you're safe before leaving.
