The first day goes well and you meet a cute guy!

The first day at the toy store goes smoothly. You talk to parents, help their sons find the toys they're looking for, and realize that you want to continue working with children for the rest of your life. You come to live watching their faces light up as they find the perfect toy or when you surprise them with candy when they come to check out.

You also help the older men find items to give to their new sons, nephews, or godsons. In fact, that's how you meet the man of your dreams. He, you later learn his name is Hudson, came in looking extremely confused. You had been helping a young boy reach a stuffed dragon on the top shelf when you spotted him. You immediately were drawn to his eyes ice blue eyes and you notice his hair is dyed a similar color. It captivates you and, as soon as you finished with the family you are working with, you approach him, offering your help.

You learned that he had been named godfather to his newborn nephew and that he wanted to get him something that he could play with for many years to come. You lead him to some stuffed animals that absorb light during the day and light up during the night. The colors occupy babies and work as a nightlight for toddlers and children, while also being something they can play with during the day. He picks out a teddy bear one, a common choice, and thanks you for your time.

You can't help but feel disappointed when he pays for his item and leaves. You didn't get his number and he didn't seem interested in you either. You get a second chance the next day when he comes back, wanting to stock up on items for the baby for when he stays at his house.

Again, you don't ask for his number, but only because he gives it to you first. He says it's so he can call you for advice, but a week later he calls to ask you on a date. And you accept.
