Chapter 19 by dearnise dearnise

This story arc is completed. Are you ready for the next one?

Bryce, Age 20: Giving Itheria its New Queen.

The first wave of traders were grateful to have your expedition from the Amazon raid and demon invasion, provide protection on the way to the Itherian capital, allowing trade to flourish again. A week of mourning for those hundreds of soldiers that fell was observed, and you worked with Duke Magus of the Frostpeaks to ensure those Frost Knights that fell while battling the demon invasion were given a proper memorial. All of those events weighed heavily in your mind. Not only did it bring the need to be more properly fit for battle, but it further brought the need to do what you have been doing the last 2 full cycle of seasons, finding a suitable bride.

Over the last 2 full cycles, you have received many offers from your noble subjects, and neighboring kingdoms to the North and East of Itheria. One kingdom from a land across the open sea somewhere to the Northwest even made an offer of a trade route extension, in exchange for the hand of a warrior maiden. A part of you, however, thought back to one particular woman, Queen Cielina of the Thessian Amazons. Every now and then, you wonder if you were able to help her produce a daughter, or even a son. Your mind wanders to the image of her beautiful Amazon body, with her full, large breasts, shapely legs, eyes of lilac purple to look deep into, the way she cried out in pleasure when you were......

"Your highness?" Someone asks you. "Your highness?!"

"Oh...what?!" You snap out of your daydream, looking around to find Lord Gilbert bringing you back to reality in your study. "I was daydreaming again, Lord Gilbert?"

"Aye, your highness." Gilbert replies, showing more of the gray in his hair after these last two full cycles. "The few maidens that remain on your list of potential brides have arrived, and are waiting outside the court, as you've requested."

"Aahh, good!" You reply, standing up from your royal chair inside the study. "It has taken so long to get to this point, because so many different nobles and other royal families sent offers over these last 2 cycles."

"Would nae a local nobleman's daughter suit you the most, your highness?" Gilbert asks you, as he quickly looks down at the updated map of the known world. "Work on the fortifications for The Goldfields have remained slow because of the difficulty of getting stones and wood from the Great Wilderness and Kirsten Crags. Getting other stones from the Frostpeaks remain difficult because of the constant harassment by the goblins, and how stretched thin the Frost Knights are. Trade continues to flow in like waterfalls, and work on expanding the harbors to accommodate the increased amount of ships continue."

"And such work must remain to be done as fast as possible," you reply, "but also to ensure the safety of everyone, when they are finished. As for a local nobleman's daughter, we already have a few of them remaining, from our vassals. I am surprised that I am still exercising the offer from a distant land called Gaelica. Did they nae try to raid the Goldfields many times before?"

"Aye," Gilbert tells you, "but now it seems like their new leader--at least from what I have heard--has a change of heart, much like that Amazon Queen you bedded twice two cycles ago. We have nae heard from her for the last full cycle, and the traders from Thessia has nae said much either."

"Things do change in time." You tell Gilbert. "After all, you did teach me about not harassing others too much, when I was little, lest they fight back with a fury. Perhaps that is what Gaelica is learning. To some extent, the Amazons are learning that, as well. At any rate, let us set forth to the court."

"By your will, your highness." Gilbert replies.

You make your way to the royal court, which is bustling with activity. In the shadows, you see Akina, keeping an eye out for any trouble. You spot Vessa and Gilbert talking with some of the local noblemen, noticing a few gray hairs already forming on the head of your court mage. You wait for your arrival to be announced, so that all of them bow to you, as you settle in to your throne. You then bring the court to attention, while some of your royal guards open a lane for the final group of potential brides to be presented to you.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the speaker of the royal court tells everyone, "it is by the decree of the king, that the following maidens present themselves before the throne. Handpicked over the course of 2 full cycle of seasons, they are the last remaining group of maidens to be considered for the queen's throne, at the decision of your king. And so, your king presents to you, the following maidens..."

The first one that enters the court is a young Frost Knight from the southern edge of the Frostpeak Mountains. Her dark brown hair has been tied into a ponytail, and goes all the way down to the middle of her back. She may not be as big-breasted as Cielina, but her own breasts appear to be ample, as given by the curvature of her leather shirt, which forms the centerpiece of her Frost Knight garbs. Otherwise, she is about your height, with light brown eyes, and you can see her greatsword strapped to her back.

"Lady Devona Stegalkin." The speaker announces. "Eldest daughter of the Stegalkin House, member of the Frost Knights, with several battles against the goblins and rebels under her belt."

The next one that enters the court is the maiden from Gaelica. Given her fiery red hair and green eyes, she can easily be distinguished among the royal court. She is in her cultural garbs of a Gaelic Swordswoman, with her leather vest that goes over her underlying white shirt, which covers her own ample breasts. Aside from her knee-high, soft leather boots, a pair of bracers on her wrists, and a leather headband, with a pendant at the center, you notice her feminine kilt, which goes down to about mid-thigh, and dons the colors of her family. Like the Frost Knight, Devona, she also has a greatsword strapped over her shoulder.

"Princess Fiona O'Reilly." The speaker announces. "Eldest daughter of King William and Queen Annalissa O'Reilly, of the Unified Kingdom of Gaelica. Her kingdom is willing to conduct trade with Itheria, after many cycles of raids, in exchange for her hand in marriage."

The last one that enters the court, is a maiden that is just as noticeable as Fiona, because of her darker shade of fair skin. She removes the veil and silken cloth from her face and hair, letting her dark hair flow freely down her back. Add that to her cultural garbs, the scimitar on one side, and a crossbow on the other, and it is clear that she is from Al-Anashab. It makes many of the nobles wonder why you would consider her, just as much as you have considered the Gaelic woman, or the Amazon Queen. Physically, she may be small compared to Devona and Fiona, but she appears to be a very lithe and speedy woman.

"Princess Kalisah Al-Nanoon." The speaker announces. "Youngest daughter of Grand Sultan Omari Al-Nanoon and Queen Ivira bint Juhandi Al-Nanoon of Al-Anashab. Dancer, fighter, and tinkerer of new ideas and gadgets."

The three maidens walk to the base of the steps leading up the throne, where they bow before you. You eye each one of them carefully, seeing the type of weapons they use.

"Greetings, your highness." Devona speaks first. "On behalf of the Stegalkin family, and Duke Magus, I offer you my hand in marriage, in the hope that you will continue to honor the traditions of the Frost Knights, and the rugged culture of the people of the Frostpeak Mountains."

"I greet ye, yer highness." Fiona speaks next. "After many cycles of raiding, the people of Gaelica are ready to settle down, and make peace with our neighbors, beginning with Itheria. In exchange for my hand in marriage, it is the hope that my people will be involved in the trade that spans well beyond our known world."

"On behalf of my father, the Grand Sultan of Al-Anashab," Kalisah speaks last, "I greet you. As your kingdom has seen through these cycles, the influences of Al-Anashab continues to spread to Motania. My father offers you the latest in gadgetry and sciences for you and the great people of Itheria, in exchange for my hand in marriage."

"I greet all of you fine maidens." You reply. "Rise, fair ladies."

As the three ladies rise to their feet, you see the doors in the distance open, and one of your scouts rushing in. The young teenage man looks short of breath, and he holds a scroll in his hand. Seeing the scroll, you rise to your feet, and look to the scout.

"Report, good scout." You tell him.

"Y-y-your highness." The scout replies, offering the scroll. "Word just coming in from the ports of Ferelden."

"Lord Gilbert? Lady Vessa?" You turn to look to your advisors.

You sit back down, as Gilbert uses his wisdom to determine the authenticity of the report, while Vessa checks it magically for any anomalies. After a minute, they look to you and nod, signaling that the message is authentic. Gilbert hands you the scroll to read, and you read it over carefully. Then you roll the scroll, and give it back to Gilbert.

"Your highness," Gilbert tells you, "I believe you have a 4th maiden to choose from."

"So it would seem." You reply. "Bring her in."

"At once, your highness." Gilbert replies, and relays the signal to the royal guards at the door.

You watch as the doors are opened wide, revealing the group of Amazon soldiers, with spears and shields in hand. They walk in, directing the other three maidens to step aside. The front row of the soldiers then step forward to the side, revealing...Queen Cielina! She smiles at the sight of your seemingly stronger body, as her lilac purple eyes shine brightly. Her dress is a mix of Amazon and Motanian--sleeveless, but made of the same fine material as the material used in the dresses for royalty. Slits on each side of the dress shows her shapely legs, covered in a pair of black thigh-high boots. You can see the officer in charge of her royal guards holding Cielina's flamberge, although you can see a pair of daggers in thigh sheaths. Her breasts seem fuller than ever, straining against the fabric of the dress. Whether or not it's a reflection of her maturity, and/or having recently given birth to a daughter, is yet to be determined.

"Cielina Diodrina." The speaker of the court speak out. "Daughter of Diandra and Pieter Diodrina. Queen of the Thessia Tribe of the Amazons, first queen in many cycles to lead an Amazon raid into Motania. Now she seeks to unify the tribes, and usher in a new age for her people, away from raiding for goods not readily produced on their home islands."

"I greet you, King of Itheria." Cielina speaks out, and bows before you, with her soldiers following suit. "Now that my younger sister is of age, I can compete with these three fine maidens you have chosen. It is my hope that we can further strengthen our ties together, by bonding together in marriage."
