Chapter 37

What do you answer?
"I didn't know anything! She tricked me into this!"
You feel a wave of guilt rushing over you as you grasp for the lifeline this man just threw. You start to sob and explain how you are completely unaware of everything, that Sara only told you that she is fleeing from her violent husband, that she needed support, and that she has not told you anything else - and how you long to get back to your husband and that sweet little housemaid you just hired recently.
Your face glows red from shame, but you hope that the man will not see it in the dark - or take it as a sign of confusion and fear. He looks at you thoughtful for a few heartbeats that feel like ages. Then he grabs his walkie-talkie. There's the static sound again.
"She's clueless", says the man. "And she bought the product already."
'The product' must be the Happy Maid, you think, and congratulate yourself, again with a sting of guilt, that you mentioned this part.
"Let's try something special", says the voice. "Put her to sleep and swipe her memory. I have an idea..."
You whimper and shake your head as the man who hold you nods to somebody behind him, and, moments later, a cloth with some sweet but very chemical odor is pressed on your face.
All goes black.
And now?

Happy Maid
You are a young woman who tries to escape a conspiracy. And it all starts with a new brand of house maids.
In a maybe not so distant future, the "Happy Maid" brand is everywhere. But do couples really know what lies in store for them when they order a housemaid? You play a young wife who soon finds out that the innocent, harmless "Happy Maid" is actually subverting your life and slowly starts to control your mind. You must prevent the evil scheme in your own house to save your marriage, your husband... and your freedom.
