Check in a motel and lay low.

You drive to the outskirts of the city and chose a run down motel as your stop for the night. Both Sara and you spend a rather sleepless nights, thoughts and fears haunting you, and a very uncertain look into the future. Do you even know what you are up against? What if all this is way over your head?

Finally you fall asleep for a few hours, but the first light of dawn wakes you up pretty quickly.

"I go to the nex mall and get us some supplies", you suggest. Sara agrees. She offers to stay here and do some research. The best plan seems still to make contact with others like you who have gone into hiding. Besides that, there's really nothing you can do. Only wait and survive. A rather bleak option.

You get in the car and drive to a big mall, where you should be able to get more or less anything you need: Food, electronics, clothes. Maybe it wouldn't even a bad idea to get some camping equipment, so you're not dependent on the infrastructure of the city. Then you immediatly laugh at yourself. This is not the zombie apocalypse. Neither the end of the world. You look around, and everything seems normal. People walking around, chatting, shopping, hurrying along.

You start to search for the things you need.
