Doctor Lerner's quarters

Mina knew right where the good doctor was. He was above deck at this time, enjoying the "delicacies" of the ship's mess hall, plus his own special blend of imported tea. The tall, dark figure entered her mind again as she placed her hand on the door latch. "Careful, my love" he spoke. "There are dangers within, and secrets to be discovered. Look for the red bound book with golden runes on its cover. It will explain things to you in greater detail." This puzzled Mina. Her major task was to get the keys to the cells, and get fucked. Now she had to look for a special book as well? She wondered if she'd have enough time to do this. What would happen if she got caught? What was this book? Why was it so important to the tall, dark man? She entered the office quietly as she pondered these things, and closed the door behind her. It clicked shut with a deafening sound of finality that suddenly caused her heart to race.

There was no turning back now. Lerner kept the cell keys in the top middle desk drawer of his massive mahogany desk. Securing the keys was step number one. She quietly slid open the drawer, and grabbed the keys. She smiled triumphantly to herself. Now, to find the mysterious red book.

Mina's first idea, of course, was to search the doctor's massive bookcase. She examined every red book she found, but none were embossed with gold runes. "Well, that settles that" she said to herself aloud, placing her hands on her hips. Then she saw something odd on the wall next to the bookcase. It was almost indistinguishable from the rest of the wall, but sure enough there was a faint outline of a hidden panel, big enough to hide something in. Something like a book, perhaps? She pushed on the panel, and slid open easily, revealing a red bound book with golden runes on the cover. She took the book from its hiding place, and closed the panel.

Just as Mina was about to leave, she heard footsteps, heavy footsteps approaching, and voices. She frantically turned and looked for a place to hide.
