Caught!

The heavy thudding of the footsteps paused. The heavy iron door knob slowly began to turn. Mina looked wildly around in utter frustration,but could find nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. The bed was a captain's bed, which meant a full set of drawers were on the under side of it. Under the desk would be the only place, but it was an open front. Maybe she should at least hide the book? The knob stopped turning, and voices out in the hall took the place of the sound of clicking metal.

"Well Charlie, almost done with your rounds?" inquired an unknown voice.

"Shortly, Johnathan" answered Charlie's voice. "I just have to check Doctor Lerner's cabin, and make sure everything's secure."

"Do your check, and then we'll head of to the mess hall. Maybe drink a pint or two?" said Johnathan.

"Sounds good to me, mate." The knob started to turn again. "I hate these routine checks. There's never anything wrong."

Mina stood frozen in place, in front of the mahogany desk, the book behind her back on top of it. The door slowly creaked open, and the guard stepped inside the room.

"Now what are you doing here?" asked Charlie. "You ain't supposed to be here. You better speak up, you silly wench."

"I-I thought I could find the Doctor here" Mina stammered.

"I think he's more than likely topside, taking his afternoon tea." Charlie measured Mina closely. "Wait a minute" he said, giving her a curious eye. "You're the Captain's girl, ain't ya?"

"Y-yes" Mina stammered again.

"Blye me!" exclaimed Charlie. "You shouldn't be down here at all, little missy. Not with the crazies, and what not."

The mysterious voice of the dark man suddenly came into Mina's head. "Seduce him!" it said. "It's your only choice, your only way out." She stood there trembling. Now he wanted her to fuck the guard? What was so important about this book? "Do not question my motives, child" the voice rumbled inside her head. "Just do as you're told, and I will reward you." Mina stood there, motionless, speechless, and trembling with fear and... excitement?

"You all right, Miss?" Charlie questioned.

"Y-yes, I'm fine" Mina finally answered. She slowly began to lift the hem of her skirt.
