They investigate the holodeck

I looked at myself. My uniform seemed to be on straight... I didn't seem to be showing anything innappropriate... I glanced up at Jenny and she still had that perplexed look on her face. I was tempted to approach one of the firls to ask them what was going on, but was afraid they would get too comfortable around me.

LaSalle broke me out of my silent rumination, "Do you know them?"

I shook my head, "Only in passing."

"Well they seem to know you," she replied in a conspiratorial tone, "So unless you have a mirror universe twin wandering..."

We both jumped to the same conclusion at the same time, "Holodeck!"

The two of us raced toward the holodeck with me ducking down, afraid to look anyone we passed in the eye. I didn't know what was going on, but with this ship news travels fast so there's no telling what word is being spread about me right now. Fortunately we made it to the holodeck without any incident in quick time.

Jenny checked the settings while I waited anxiously. She kept her yes on the screen as she announced, "It's still running..."

I bit my lower lip, "... and my program?"

She gave a nod, "it's running too."

"Who's in there with me?" I asked curiously.

"Commander Kokuru and Lieutenant Greene."

I cringed. Two bridge officers. If they caught on to this whole hologram thing, there's no telling what sort of trouble this could case me! Was there regulation against doing something like this? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done this before... but even still, having myself intrude on their holodeck time together... that would probably be mildly annoying in the the best case scenario.

I turned to the petite engineer, "Can't you turn me off?"

She shook her head, "Seems I don't have command authority for that. We'd have to get Westland for that..." she snickered, "It appears you gave her full control over the program, including shutting it down."

My eyes widened. I screamed out as quietly as i could, "You mean it's been running this whole time?!"

She nodded back, obviously amused, "Who knows WHAT you've been up to in there..."

I grabbed LaSalle by the collar. My desperation must have been just as evident, "I left her naked in there! What if she can't generate clothing? People will think I'm some sort of exhibitionist space nymph! You've got to stop this!"

Jenny held her hands up, "Hold on... I can't do anything without Kari since YOU were the one who transferred the off switch to HER."

I flushed red at my misstep. I should have shut the program down before switching things over to Kari. I didn't even bother to check if the program was off before I headed out because I was in such a rush. Jenny called Kari via communicator and she was with us a few moments later.

After a brief summary of what went down, at the expense of my dignity, Ensign Westland was up to speed. She was all giggles over what had happened.

"So... did you give yourself a test drive?" she asked with a wink. I flushed red and that was all the answer she needed to burst out in another bout of mirthful giggles. "Ok, ok, I'll shut it down from here."

She was about to access the control panel when I stepped on, "Wait! What if they're interacting with me right now? And what if they don't know I'm a hologram? It might lead to more questions that I'd rather not answer..."

Kari smirked at me and shrugged, "Fine, but you'll have to go in and find out for yourself. You really want to interrupt the Commander and Lieutenant Greene in the middle of their program?"

"It's locked... but I can get us in..." Jenny quirked an eyebrow hinting at her causing some sort of mischief.

I debated the issue. I could wait outside for the officers to finish and apologize profusely for the whole mishap and hope they forgive me, or I could sneak in and find out if they even know holo-me is out and about in their program and maybe shut her down without them being the wiser.
