They try to reason with him

The two girls stared at the boy in disbelief. For a brief moment, neither could speak. To his credit, Zack stayed in the hot tub albeit with his head buried in his hands and tears repelling down his cheeks between the crevices made by his fingers.

Eventually, it was Victoria who made the next attempt at conversation.

“Aww, Zack! Don’t do this to yourself. For what it’s worth, you should be with Heather. She didn’t shit on your feelings tonight. I did. You deserve to be happy. With Heather,” Victoria choked out.

Heather looked at the blonde girl and smiled at her.

“Thanks Vicky! That’s sweet of you. Zack, I don’t want to pressure you into making any choice, but if Vicky is telling you to be with me, it’s because she’s telling the truth when she says she’s sorry and wants you to be happy. I’d be perfectly fine with you being with her,” the brunette bombshell told Zack.

It was Victoria’s turn to smile.

“You two aren’t exactly making this easy for me. Why are you so interested in me? What makes me so special?” Zack huffed.

Heather rubbed Zack’s shoulder as Victoria moved in front of him and took hold of his hands

“You’re special because you’re a great guy. You’re kind, honest, and a great friend. What’s not to like about you?” Victoria answered.

“You’re also sexy as Hell,” Heather laughed. “But in all seriousness, you make us both feel comfortable around you. That’s why we both want you. And as much as it is killing you to try to choose one of us, it is killing us both that you aren’t choosing either one.”

Heather’s comment caused a light bulb to go off inside Victoria’s head. Before she spoke, she made sure she had Zack’s complete attention. She shook his hands slightly and looked deeply into his eyes before she opened her mouth.

“You know what, Zack? You’ve been so focused on choosing between Heather and me that you have forgotten one very important piece of information. You think that there are only three options to choose from: Me, Heather or neither one of us. You don’t realize that there is a fourth choice,” Victoria told him.

“There is?” Zack puzzled.

“Huh?” Heather had a confused look on her face as well.

“You could be with both of us,” Victoria explained briefly.
