Victoria decides to go on a hike

After Hannah left with Zack, Ashley went back to Vicky and Dustin’s table. Her best friend had a thoughtful look on her face, hopefully after having dissected Kendra’s behavior in her mind, the blue-eyed blonde thought.

Dustin was nowhere to be seen, though, so Ashley thought it was the perfect time to ask just that to her fellow blonde.

“Hey, Vicky,” She sat down on a chair beside Victoria’s. “Have you thought about that other incident that Kendra was involved?”

Victoria sighed and nodded. “Ash, I want to believe him, I really do, but,” She paused, a pained look on her face. “What if I get hurt again?”

Ashley was a bit taken aback by her friend’s question, but she **** a smile to reassure her. “Well, that’s the thing, Vicky, there’s no way to know,” She said, recalling clear as crystal the hurt look on Brandon’s face when she ended things between them the previous night. “You can’t know if you’ll be happy or get hurt unless you take the leap and go talk to him.”

Vicky took in her friend’s words, letting them sink in her mind. The green-eyed blonde sighed, it was a difficult decision, and she was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to make it without clearing her head first. “I need to think,” She finally said. “And I won’t be able to do it here with Zack and Kendra around, so I’m going to take a hike.”

“A hike?” Ashley blinked twice at the suddenness of her friend’s decision. “Now?”

“Not right now, I think I’m gonna ask around first if someone wants to come along,” Vicky replied. “You think it’s a bad idea?”

“Well, not exactly,” Ashley answered with some uncertainty. “If it’s gonna help you think, then maybe you have to go, I guess.”

“Cool!” Victoria beamed. “Want to come?”

“I’ll think about it,” Ashley replied. “No promises.”

“Okay, Ash,” The green-eyed blonde stood up. “I’m going to see if Dustin wants to go.”

That said, Victoria skipped away to the cabin’s interior, leaving behind a dumbfounded Ashley. The blue-eyed blonde wasn’t so sure about her friend’s idea, and even less if she wanted to go with her. ”Ah, I think I’ll pass it.” She thought, taking a sip of a glass of orange juice.
