Hospital Visitation and Tension

"Hey Zack. How are you feeling?"

The voice shook Zack out his nap. He was momentarily blinded by the bright morning light. He rubbed his eyes and saw Gavin looking back at him.

"Hey Gavin. What's going on?" asked Zack when he picked up the distraught look on his face. Gavin was about to say something but instead just shook his head. "Nothing. Chloe just wanted to check up on you. She just went to the bathroom."

"Oh okay." Zack quickly replied. His thought went back to the dream he had. Thankfully for him, he is beginning to lose memory on what happened that dream. He just knew that it was about a hot redhead looking back at him.

Gavin just nodded and then Chloe entered the room. She saw that Zack was awake. "Hi Zack. You're awake." said Chloe with a sad smile. She went up to his bedside and rubbed his shoulder.

Zack noticed the sadness behind Chloe's tone but decided to not press the issue. He was about to open his mouth to speak when he was interrupted by an opening door and a cheerful voice.

"Hello Zack! It is a beautiful day today!"

Everyone turned towards the door and saw Lisa standing there. Lisa, at first surprised that other people were in here, relaxed when she saw it was just Chloe and Gavin. Lisa smiled at Chloe as she went to Zack's side. Chloe stepped back from the bedside as Lisa intruded in. Chloe mentally scowled at Lisa for the interruption. However, what happened next made her stomach churn.

Lisa hugged Chloe and Gavin. She then sat down next to Zack and kissed his lips. Chloe suddenly felt an intense stab of jealously and she let out a low growl. Lisa, surprised, turned around and saw Chloe staring daggers into her. Gavin immediately got up and started to pull Chloe out of the room. Lisa could hear her breathing heavily as she left the room.
