This is a prequel to the main City of Angels books. City of Angels, Book One takes place in September 2026, this story takes place 8 months earlier in January 2026. This can be read at any time, as there are no spoilers for the main books.

When Julian Anderson gets a phone call from an old friend, he drops everything in Los Angeles to make his way north to Crescent Hill, Oregon. Upon his arrival there, Julian discovers something is lurking in the shadows, and he might be the only person able to stop more tragedy from befalling this lonely small town in the woods.
