Oh no!
News
He leaned closer, his breath warm against your ear. "And there's more good news, my love. Your parents are coming to visit. They've been so worried about you." A flicker of something, hope? fear?, stirred in your chest, dread, but before you could grasp it, his hand moved to the shelf above his head, and he picked up the remote.
"Let's make sure you're ready to see them," he said, and with a soft click, a wave of artificial warmth flooded through you, dissolving the knot of anxiety in your stomach, smoothing the sharp edges of my confusion. You tried to hold onto your questions, your doubts, but they melted away like snow in spring, replaced by a bright, eager happiness that felt both alien and intoxicating. You found yourself smiling, genuinely smiling, at the thought of seeing your parents, or Ambers, even as a distant part of you screamed that this was wrong, that this joy wasn't mine.
That remote was gonna be your hell. You had to get it, somehow.
The artificial warmth receded slightly, leaving a residue of that bright, eager happiness coating your thoughts like a thin film, and he smiled, apparently satisfied with your placid expression.
"Now, my love," he said, his hand dropping from your cheek to pat your thigh through the thin sheet, "you need to get showered before your parents arrive. I've laid out a dress for you, something I picked out myself."
His eyes traveled over your body again, that same possessive gleam, you nodded, the motion feeling automatic, a puppet dancing on strings you couldn't see. The thought of the shower, of standing under hot water in this unfamiliar body, of seeing your reflection in the polished obsidian walls, sent a ripple of unease through the artificial calm, but it was quickly smoothed over, drowned in a wave of compliance that felt like your own desire.
_______
Steam billowed around you, as you stepped into the shower, the scalding water a welcome shock against your skin. For a moment, the artificial calm held, and you lathered my hair with practiced, mindless motions.
Then, as you reached for the shampoo, your fingers brushed against the reflective obsidian wall, and you froze. Ambers reflection, your eyes met hers in the polished stone,Amber's eyes, wide and terrified, staring back at you. The haze shattered. You gasped, the warm water suddenly feeling suffocating, the scent of jasmine soap cloying. You pressed my palms against the cool stone, trying to ground myself, to piece together the fragments of your memory. The crash. The blinding pain. Then nothing. And now this, this body, this life, this cage of flesh and bone and unearned curves.
You looked down at your hands, at the long fingers and pale skin that were not yours, and felt a fresh wave of horror wash over you, cold and sharp despite the steam. You let your gaze travel down, tracing the unfamiliar landscape of your new body, the slender neck, the pronounced collarbones, the heavy, full breasts that seemed almost obscenely large on your frame.
With a trembling hand, you reached up and cupped the weight of one, lifting it, feeling the unfamiliar heft and the soft, yielding flesh that was not your own. The nipple, a pale pink, hardened against your palm in the cool air, a betrayal of sensation that sent a jolt of revulsion through you. You squeezed, experimentally, and a dull ache, a phantom feeling of fullness, pulsed through the breast, a cruel reminder of his plans, of the fertility he'd had carved into this body.
You snatched your hand away from your breast as if burned, but it was too late. The bathroom door slid open with a soft hiss, and there he stood, your husband, leaning against the frame with that infuriatingly tender smile.
"Getting a good look at the enhancements?" he asked, his voice a low purr that vibrated through the steam. His eyes traveled down your body, tracing the water beading on your skin, the flushed curves of your breasts, the way your nipples had tightened in the cool air. "You look beautiful, my love," he breathed, taking a step closer, his gaze fixed on the spot where your hand had just been.
He reached out, his fingers brushing the wet skin of your shoulder, and you felt that artificial warmth surge again, dulling the sharp edge of your terror, making you want to lean into his touch even as your mind recoiled. "Don't be ashamed," he murmured, his hand sliding down your arm to capture your wrist, gently guiding your hand back toward your chest. "Why don'twe both enjoy this?"
His hands moved to his own clothes with practiced ease, and you watched, frozen, as he unbuttoned his shirt with deliberate slowness, revealing a chest that was lean and muscled, a body that had clearly been maintained with the same obsessive care he applied to everything else in this gilded cage.
The fabric fell away, and he stepped out of his trousers, his eyes never leaving yours, that tender smile still playing at the corners of his mouth as he kicked the garments aside and stepped into the shower, the water immediately plastering his hair to his forehead and streaming down the planes of his chest. He reached for you, his hands finding your waist, pulling you against him, the heat of his skin against yours, the water cascading around you both, and you felt the artificial warmth surge again, stronger this time, a wave of compliance that made your knees weak and your arms lift to wrap around his neck of their own accord, even as the real you, the you that was still fighting somewhere deep inside, screamed and clawed at the walls of your own mind.
"There we are," he murmured against your throat, his hands sliding down to grip the swell of your hips, pulling you tighter against him, "my perfect, beautiful wife." he murmured against your throat, his lips trailing kisses along your collarbone, and then you felt it, pressing insistently against my stomach, a thick, heavy weight that made you gasp despite the artificial warmth flooding my veins.
You looked down, and the sight of it, his erection, huge and obscene, jutting up between you, made your vision blur with a fresh wave of horror that cut through the chemical haze like a blade. It was enormous, disproportionately large, a grotesque addition to this nightmare, and you felt a cold dread settle in the pit of your stomach as you realised the implications, that this body had been designed to accommodate it, that his plans for you, for this fertile, enhanced vessel, were already in motion, and the artificial compliance surged again, trying to paint this nightmare in shades of desire, trying to make your hips roll forward to meet him, but the real you, the one still screaming in the dark, could only stare at that monstrous proof of your captivity and feel the walls of your cage closing in.
He pulled you closer, his hand tangling in your wet hair, and tilted your face up to meet his gaze. "Now, my love," he said, his voice a low command wrapped in velvet, "I want you to show me how much you appreciate these enhancements. Get on your knees and take me in your mouth."
The words hung in the steam, and you felt the artificial compliance surge again, trying to make your body obey, trying to push you down, but your legs remained locked, your mind screaming. He tugged your hair, a gentle but insistent pressure, and you felt your knees begin to bend, your own body betraying you as the chip worked its magic, easing you down onto the wet tile floor, your face level with that monstrous proof of your captivity.
He stroked your cheek, his thumb tracing your lower lip, and you felt the artificial warmth flood your mouth, making it water, making you want to part your lips and take him in, even as the real you sobbed silently, watching your own hands reach up to grip his thighs, your own mouth open to receive him.
Surely, you couldn't?
