Their families were waiting for them

Anita was sitting on Bernardo's bedside as he was now sleeping, and Riff had Grazella at his bedside. Both women were in different rooms, but they were there doing the same thing while their boyfriend slept in the hospital bed. When Bernardo wakes up and sees Anita right there next to him, he reaches out and hugs her as he starts to feel tears rolling down his eyes. "Anita I was so worried, I don't want you to feel scared like this ever again. Where's Maria, is she alright." Anita just starts crying as she tells him that Maria should be home since the police showed up at her work to inform on what had happened. "I don't know if Maria knows what happen, but I will tell her when I get home. I will let her know that you're at the hospital, but since we have different shifts now I see her when she arrives home at 9:30. But don't worry Bernardo, I will bring Maria down here tomorrow so she can see you." Bernardo looks at Anita with worry in his eyes, and he tells Anita everything of what happen during the rumble. He tells her that Tony showed up and was trying to stop everyone from fighting; and Tony even told him he loves Maria, and that doesn't need to worry about him being with Maria. "I don't trust that Pollock Anita, and I don't approve of that relationship with Maria. When you come with Maria tomorrow we need to have a serious talk with her, and we need to tell her that she is not to see ever again that Pollock." I need to never answered him all she did was just hug him and cried, but all she could do now is when she goes back home she needs to let Maria know what happened to her brother.

Riff wakes up and sees Grazella as she reaches out to hug him, as he hugs her back with enough embrace. "Hey now babygirl, I'm still here and I am not leaving anytime soon. Can you let the Jets know that I am alright, and that I am alive." She wipes away they tears in her eyes, and she informs him that she told Anybody's to lay out the message. "I told her to let everyone know when the doctor told me that you were out and was recovering, I was out here when the cops were talking to you and when they left and you feel like asleep that's when I came into the room to see you. Riff don't ever scare me like that again, I don't know what to do without you. But hearing that you were hurt, and so close to losing your life I was afraid to lose you." Riff answers her, "It's ok babygirl I'm right here; I'm glad that you are here with me." "I head from the guys that you were stabbed, and Velma called up her mom to see if you were in the hospital, she's the head nurse Cash she informed us that you were in surgery. Riff; the guys are saying that Tony has a new girl, and that it's bernardo's sister?" Riff nods his head and conforms that it's true, "It's the girl at the dance, and yes it is Bernardo sister, her name is Maria. Look baby girl I know you still care about Tony, and you did worry about how he would feel about me and you being together. He's okay with us together he even told me himself before the dance, and even when he got out of prison a year ago." Riff told Grazella about the talk Tony did during the rumble when he tried to stop it, and he even told Bernardo about his feelings for his sister and that they're together. He even confessed his love for Maria to Bernardo, and how he reacted after. "So please baby girl don't you worry; all I can say right now is we need to worry for Tony, because once Bernardo is fully healed he's going to try and go after him. I understand you may not approve of Tony's relationship with that Puerto Rican girl, but you and I both know Tony better than anyone else in this world, and Tony is not going to give her up for anyone.," Grazella shook her head yes to Riff as he was talking to her about the situation of the rumble, and he was right about Tony. Growing up with the Jets, and her knowing both Tony and Riff. She knew for a fact Tony never really dated anyone serious, she believes it was how easily he could get over her when they told him about their relationship when he was locked up in prison. Felt horrible that she wrote him a letter about it, and confirmed it when he called that it was true. They even picked up Tony when he got out of prison, and still asked if you was okay with it well all he told them that it was fine and that they should be happy together. But it's still worried her, because now Tony is in love with a Puerto Rican girl, and not just any other Puerto Rican girl. She was a Shark, regardless if she's in the gang or not, but her brother is the leader of the sharks which makes her a shark by default. Now she is in a predicament of her own, and knowing that Tony has a serious girlfriend now. Her and Velma will have to play nice with Tony's new girlfriend Maria, and if she knows the Jets motto that will mean that the Jets protect their own. Riff will be making sure of that, even though Tony is no longer a Jet, but Tony will always be a Jet in Riff's eyes. The doctor came in to let her know that visiting hours are over, and to come again tomorrow. Once she was leaving the hospital, Grazella saw Bernardo's girl leaving too. She wanted to say something to her; but she went the other side of the street, and she headed over to Doc's drug store where everyone always meet. Riff mentioned a tomboy that they called Anybody's, and she and Velma were so happy that she follows the Jets. It's sad that they don't want to take her as a Jet, but she has been very useful to them in so many ways. The way she finds out stuff while she goes through the shadows, and she has been greatful since that is how she found out about Riff been in the hospital. She did call Anybody's to inform the guys know that Riff was alive, and to meet up at Doc's drug store so she can head over once her visit with Riff was over. She only hopes that the Jets will accept the outcome on Tony having a girlfriend, and the background on her family status.
