The Flashback

Chapter 21 by Romanorgy Romanorgy

The house settled into its evening hush. The refrigerator hummed its low, steady note. Somewhere outside, a car passed, its headlights sweeping across the living room ceiling before disappearing. Stacy scrolled through her phone, one leg tucked beneath her, the picture of domestic calm.

Tom watched her from the other end of the couch.

The contrast was what got him. The way she sat there in her simple white t-shirt and grey shorts, hair loose around her shoulders, utterly unaware of the power he held. Or so he thought.

He put a hand on her leg.

"Stacy. Pause the phone and look at me."

She looked up. A question flickered in her eyes—genuine, curious. Innocent.

"Stardust."

The shift was immediate. Her spine softened. The tension drained from her shoulders, her jaw, her hands. Her phone slipped from slack fingers and landed on the cushion beside her. Her eyes found a fixed point on the wall above the TV, and she was gone.

He leaned in, his voice low. "I want to ask you some questions. I want you to answer me honestly, without any shame or hesitation. Do you understand?"

A slight nod. Barely perceptible.

"Good." He settled back, his hand still on her thigh. The warmth of her skin through the thin fabric sent a current through him. "Do you find other women attractive?"

"Yes." The word came flat, monotone.

"Have you ever kissed another woman?"

"Yes."

His heart picked up speed. "Have you ever... had sex with another woman?"

"Yes."

The word hung in the air between them. Tom's breath caught. He'd suspected. Hoped, maybe. But hearing it confirmed—delivered in that dead, obedient voice—sent a jolt straight through him.

"Tell me about it." His voice came out rougher than he intended. "The first time. Leave nothing out."

Stacy's gaze remained fixed on the wall. Her voice, when it came, was flat and distant, as if reading from a script written years ago.

"It was my sophomore year of college. End-of-semester party. Everyone was drunk. My roommate, Elsa, and I were playing Truth or Dare with a group of people from our dorm."

---

The air was thick with sweat and cheap beer. A lamp with a broken shade cast amber light across the circle of students sprawled on the dirty carpet. Someone's phone played a playlist of thumping bass and distorted vocals.

Stacy sat cross-legged, a plastic cup of warm vodka-cranberry clutched in her hands. Her cheeks were flushed, her laugh a little too loud. Beside her, Elsa leaned back on her palms, her dark hair spilling over her shoulders, a wild grin playing at her lips.

The game had been escalating for an hour. People had run outside in their underwear. Chugged concoctions of ketchup and rum. Revealed secrets that would be awkward in the morning.

The focus turned to Elsa.

"Truth or dare?" The question came from across the circle—a guy with a cocky grin and a backwards baseball cap.

Elsa's grin widened. "Dare."

The guy leaned forward, his voice dripping with mischief. "I dare you to kiss Stacy. A real kiss. For twenty seconds. And we're the timers."

The circle erupted. Whoops and hollers filled the room. Stacy's face went hot. She opened her mouth to protest, to laugh it off, to redirect—

But Elsa was already moving.

Her hand shot out, grabbing Stacy by the front of her shirt. She yanked her forward, and before Stacy could breathe, Elsa's mouth was on hers.

The kiss was performance. All tongue and showmanship, wet and sloppy, designed to get a reaction. Stacy's hands hovered uselessly in the air. Someone counted down from twenty, their voice rising with each number. But in the chaos of it, Stacy felt something else. A single moment of clarity. The way Elsa's fingers curled into the fabric of her shirt. The pressure of her palm against Stacy's collarbone.

The crowd cheered.

It was over. Elsa pulled back, laughing, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Stacy sat there, breathless, her lips tingling.

"Okay," Stacy said, her voice higher than usual. "That's it for me. I'm done."

She stood. The room spun slightly. She walked toward the hallway, toward the door of the dorm room she shared with Elsa.

---

The door clicked shut.

The party sounds faded to a distant thrum. Stacy leaned against the door, her heart pounding, her fingers pressing against her lips. What the hell was that?

The door handle turned.

Elsa slipped inside, her silhouette blocking the dim light from the hallway. The door closed behind her with a soft snick.

The playful energy was gone.

Elsa's hand found Stacy's waist, shoving her back against the door. The impact knocked the breath from her lungs. Then Elsa's mouth was on hers again—but this was nothing like the party kiss. This was hungry. Demanding. Elsa's tongue pushed past her lips, and her body pressed against Stacy's, pinning her to the wood.

Stacy's hands came up to push her away. "Elsa, what the hell? That was just a stupid dare—"

Elsa kissed her again.

And Stacy's hands stopped pushing.

Elsa grabbed her wrists, pinned them above her head against the door, and kissed her until Stacy's knees went weak. She pulled back just enough to whisper, her voice rough and low. "You liked that. Don't lie to me."

She pushed Stacy toward the bed.

The mattress hit the back of Stacy's knees. She stumbled, fell backward onto the rumpled sheets. Elsa followed her down, a predator moving over prey. Her hands found the hem of Stacy's shirt and ripped it open. Buttons scattered across the floor.

Elsa's mouth descended. Her lips found Stacy's neck, her collarbone, the swell of her breast. When her tongue circled a nipple, Stacy's back arched off the mattress. A sound escaped her throat—half gasp, half moan.

"God, I've wanted to do this since we moved in." Elsa's voice was thick, almost angry in its intensity. "You're so fucking hot."

Stacy's protests dissolved into incoherent sounds. Elsa's hand slid down her stomach, past the waistband of her jeans, and Stacy's hips bucked into the touch.

"Shh." Elsa's breath was hot against her ear. "Just let it happen."

She spread Stacy's legs.

The first touch of Elsa's mouth between her thighs was a shock—warm, wet, electric. Stacy's hand flew to the back of Elsa's head, fingers tangling in dark hair. Elsa worked with a ferocity that left no room for thought. This wasn't about exploration. It was about conquest.

Orgasm built like a wave in a dark ocean. Stacy's vision blurred. Her breath came in short, sharp gasps. Her hips moved against Elsa's mouth, chasing, desperate.

When it hit, she arched off the bed, her cry muffled by her own hand.

Her body went limp.

But Elsa wasn't done.

She crawled up Stacy's body, her thighs straddling Stacy's chest. Her skin was slick with sweat. Her eyes were dark and hungry.

"My turn."

She positioned herself over Stacy's face.

"Lick."

It wasn't a request.

Trapped beneath her, still trembling from her own release, Stacy obeyed. Her tongue found Elsa's center, tasted the salt and musk of her. Elsa's hand gripped the headboard. Her hips began to move, grinding against Stacy's mouth in a rhythm that was all her own.

Minutes passed. Or hours. Stacy lost track. Her jaw ached. Her lungs burned. And when Elsa finally came—a shuddering, guttural cry that filled the small room—she collapsed on top of Stacy in a tangle of limbs and damp skin.

They lay there in silence.

The smell of sex and cheap beer hung in the air. The distant thump of the party continued through the walls.

Stacy stared at the ceiling, her mind a storm of confusion. Of satisfaction. Of something she couldn't name.

---

The present.

Tom sat frozen on the couch. His hand had gone still on Stacy's thigh. His breath was shallow.

Stacy's voice had stopped. She sat motionless beside him, her eyes still fixed on that distant point on the wall. Waiting.

He swallowed. "And then what happened?"

The pause stretched.

"I fell asleep," she said, her voice flat.

"Did you ever do it again?"

"Yes."

Tom exhaled. The word came out rough. "Did you enjoy it?"

"Yes."

"Did you ever initiate?"

"No. But I never said no."

Tom hesitated, hope and fear battling inside him. Hope won. "Would you ever do it again?"

A pause.

"Yes."
