What If Natasha Romanoff and Wonder Woman Met?

Chapter 3 by Lovelylift Lovelylift

In one of the thousands of realities that had become intertwined after the Yin and Yang War, the sky above New York split open. Not because of a meteor strike, not because of an alien invasion; but because two worlds had collided.

Natasha Romanoff stood on the rooftop of one of Manhattan’s skyscrapers. Her red hair moved wildly in the strong wind as she checked her weapons. She could feel that something was wrong. The air smelled of ozone and burnt metal. S.H.I.E.L.D.’s communication systems were down, and Stark’s holographic interfaces kept glitching with static.

Suddenly, a powerful golden light descended from the sky.

A woman wearing red and gold armor, a crown on her head, and a lasso glowing like lightning landed on the edge of the building. Her cape danced in the wind, and her eyes were fixed directly on Natasha.

Wonder Woman.

Natasha raised her guns but didn’t fire. She simply said:

“You’re not part of our team.”

Diana stepped forward. Her voice was calm but carried the weight of someone who had fought for centuries:

“And you are not from my world either, Spider Woman. Yet now we are both trapped in the same reality.”

Natasha gave a sarcastic smile.

“My name is Black Widow. And I’m not exactly used to Greek mythology suddenly falling out of the sky.”

Diana looked at her lasso and lowered it.

“And I’m not used to women who fight with bullets and poison. But we have a common enemy.”

At that very moment, the sky tore open again. Creatures made of shadow and light poured out of the rift — a combination of Apokolips soldiers and Chitauri warriors. Yin and Yang were still at war, tearing pieces of reality apart like sheets of paper.

Natasha opened fire without hesitation. Her shots were precise. Diana swung the Lasso of Truth, and with a single move, wrapped three creatures together and slammed them into the

Natasha, who had always worked alone, felt something she rarely experienced: someone fighting beside her who neither gave orders nor waited for approval. Diana, who was used to carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, realized that this red-haired woman, despite all her emotional scars, was just as strong-willed as she was.

When the last creature collapsed, the two women stood on the edge of the building, breathing heavily.

Natasha holstered her weapon and said:

“So… what now? Your world and mine are mixed together. I might wake up tomorrow morning and find myself stuck on Themyscira.”

Diana gave a small smile — a smile that was both warrior-like and deeply human.

“Or I might wake up and find myself inside a building full of spies and impossible technology. But there is one thing I know…”

She extended her hand.

“If we are going to save these worlds that have been fused together, we should fight together. Not against each other.”

Natasha stared at Diana’s hand for a few seconds. Then she took it.

“Alright, Amazon princess. But if you ever want to take me to your island, tell me first how I’m supposed to handle wearing a red-and-gold battle suit.”

Diana laughed. Her laughter echoed through the ruins of New York.

And at that very moment, somewhere far beyond them, Yin and Yang paused their endless war and looked down at the two women… two warriors from different worlds who might now be the ones capable of restoring balance.

Or at the very least, making chaos a little more interesting.
