Do you sneak by successfully?
Go inside the room
The hallway was silent save for the soft, rhythmic rustle of a feather duster against polished mahogan
You move near the door and peak.
The young maid is wiping down the edges of a gilded mirror frame, then moving to a heavy oak sideboard. Finally, she turns her back, and you enter.
The maid is currently completely engrossed in straightening the elaborate folds of a heavy velvet gown laid out across a chaise longue.
"About time you showed up," she murmurs. "I was beginning to think you got caught by the master’s guards downstairs. You know how risky this is during the day."
You cough in surprise.
"Your wife 's is always complaining, always dissatisfied with everything she has, while you’re the one who has to actually run ragged for her. I know how she treats you. You deserve so much better than her."
She leans forward just a bit more against the edge of the chaise longue, her hands gripping the carved wooden frame for support.
"Don't just stand there locking the door," she whispered, her voice tightening with impatience. "Just take me from behind like usual before someone comes up these stairs. We don't have all day."
