Use your agility, grab the egg, and run through the forest

You take advantage of the confusion and steal the red dragon egg from the treasure pile.

You run into the forest, but the orcs are fast, faster than you expected. Their knowledge of the terrain gives them the advantage; you can see their silhouettes in the night, and you can hear their heavy footsteps closing in.

This is bad... You know they’ll catch you soon unless you make a decision.
Do you turn and fight, despite being outnumbered and outmatched?
Do you continue to run, hoping the orcs won’t follow you beyond their territory?

Or you can stop and beg for mercy. The orcs might spare you if you return the egg, but there’s no guarantee.
