Chapter 42 by frogogre1 frogogre1

So what's the descion?

A tough one

The Condiment wizard waited in his cell, doing his new normal. Which was plotting and occasionally faking a pee to put more magical tartar sauce into the sewer system, which would go to his shark girl army, growing it even further with each new batch delivered. Though he was filled with excitement at the devious plan unfolding, he was trying his best to hide that from the guards.

As he had spoken with Dr. Young, she had helped him make the rather devious plan. She had pointed out with the ability of the tartar sauce and access to members of the bat family it would be a simple matter to dig up those dead. The bat family felt rather bad about dying and using them against them. Which sounded awesome to him: a team of dead supervillains accidentally killed for one reason or another brought back from the dead as his shark girls.

Attacking the bat family and shocking them when they found out who it truly was they were fighting. A brilliant and audacious plan, though he'd have to wait to see the results. As he wouldn't be in communication with this new shark girl team, he'd have to wait till after the plan had gone off to find out how well it went. The condiment wizard was distracted from thinking about how it was going by a sudden visit from his favorite red headguard.

"Sir, you have a visitor." Cheryl said in a calm voice with a questioning tone. She clearly wanted to be sure he was okay with having any visitors at the moment. He nodded yes as fast as he could while still trying to maintain the arrogant dignity he was going for, which was rather hard for him, but he tried his best.

"No worries, I am eager for visitors. Lead me to those who seek an audience!" The Condiment wizard yelled out, not able to contain his excitement, as this visitor might be a possible messenger who would tell him how the plan was going. He was quickly brought over to the visitors' cell. Though he wasn't strapped down to the floor. Instead Cheryl made it easier to move by removing and unlocking some restraints built into his straightjacket.

Cheryl made her way outside of the door leading into the prison but stayed very close to said door on her side of it. It was clearly so she could respond if the visitor tried anything. He didn't have to wait long as a stranger walked in wearing a high-class suit and red hair. He looked at the woman confused, not knowing who she was, but she quickly shed the disguise and revealed who she was.

"Ah, Spoiler, it is you. Very good, you can tell me how goes the great plan. Has my new team of shark girls already battled the bat family?" The Condiment wizard's excitement was closer to that of a child on Christmas morning than a dark wizard. Though none present would ever mock him or hold it against him.

"Yes, master, they not only have battled Batman, Nightwing, Red Robin, and Red Hood. They've captured them all as well!" Spoiler said eager to share with results and please her master. The condiment wizard found himself shocked at how well the plan was already doing. He needed to know it was Kendrs and how they had pulled it off.

He listened enraptured at first to hear about it; none of them were shark girls. As it turned out, his magic tartar sauce revived people as aquatic creatures, not just shark ones, which was good to know. Though he began to have rather complicated thoughts on who was part of this new team.

He'd expected someone like the Kgbeast, as it was an obvious choice that had turned out very well. What he hadn't expected was for the four heroes to all have dead parents and for them to be revived. What made it worse was he knew why they were picked. It was for pure psychological reasons; having your dead parents come back as sea creatures no doubt brings about a confusing mix of anger, sadness, and confusion.

Once he was told all the details, he stood there saying nothing as his thoughts turned over the situation. He had expected a very different outcome, a back-and-forth between his resurrected villains and the Bat-Family, not this quick victory against an exhausted Bat-Family. He needed to consider this carefully, as a moment of truth has arrived.

It was time for him to decide what kind of villain he was. At this moment, the memories of a ghost flew into him. The final moments of the dead mean he once was Jeremy Sawyer. As he was broken, he did not just get hurt himself; no, he watched others get hurt. He was taken alone others were taken together. He watched tears go down the cheeks of the poisoned as mad laughter spilled from their mouth, and they turned on those they loved.

All the while a clown found the tragedy the funnest joke of them all. So here he was, the one standing over the victim, and now he had to make a choice: would he be the one to laugh at it all or be the one who stops the laughter? It was a decision that would decide everything. Whether this ended in triumph or tragedy and what that even meant to him.

Does he laugh or decide to be silent?
