Inspect the strange girl.

She crosses one leg over the other, and places her head upon her palm as she inspects you in return. You can feel her eyes tracing up and down your body, curiously looking upon each and every detail without any means to hide it. Then at last, she smiles wider and returns her gaze to your eyes. "So why are you looking for me? I don't think we've met before."

You look briefly to Xiaoqing, now laying sideways over Niki's lap. She actually looks quite comfortable already.

"Gloomstar told me you might have a quest for us. Something only those with our experience could handle."

"Oh did she now? So you're here for business then. Not pleasure."

"Questing is pleasure!" Niki shouts.

"Why are you named after a spice?" Eva asks.

Time giggles. "T-I-M-E. And because time is ever-changing. So tell me then, sir. You look quite regal. Far too important to be entering an establishment like ours for no reason. If you know my name already, might I ask yours?"

"Kyle," you answer. "Hero-King Warren, travelling from Tivera. Or at least, that's a nickname people have been using. You definitely don't need to call me that."

"These girls here. Are they yours?"

"That's right," Eva answers for you.

"Oh uh, well--" Niki looks caught off guard by either the question, or Eva's abrupt answer. "What do you mean by his?"

"What I mean, is would you be bothered if I spoke with him privately?" she asks. "If a man has five wives, it's difficult to guess when it comes to matters of jealousy."

"W-We aren't married," Xiaoqing coughs out.

"But we're definitely not just friends," Niki adds. "I mean, with the things we've done..."

Amara smiles. "I think in many ways, we are even closer than most spouses."

"Really now?" Time ponders this response for a moment. "Do you mind if I borrow him then? I prefer not to speak in the tavern, if I can help it."

"I do not mind, though all that matters is the opinion of Kyle himself."

"Ooh. Mysterious," says Niki. "Go get that quest, Kyle. Take your time. But only if you leave some coin for us to buy snacks."

Snow nods silently.

Xiaoqing's eyes dart between them. "Only if you trust her, Kyle. No offense of course. I don't mean to sound paranoid, but there are a lot of weird people out there."

Eva gestures to her eyes, and then points to Time. "I'll be watching you though. You better not hurt him, or I'll come for you."

You chuckle. "It's all right, everyone. I'm sure I'll live."

I've come to realize that the bond I share with these girls really is something beyond anything else, just like Amara said. It doesn't matter if I say, hook up with Monarch for a short moment in her hut. Eva acts the most clingy, but none of them actually care. The levels vary at least. While some are more hesitant than others, all of them know they've had to share. We've had so many orgies that I can't even count them. Wow. That's weird to think about. Anyway, the invisible ties between us remain just as strong whether or not I'm being sucked off by an elven bandit captain. And when somebody new enters our group, they're incredibly welcoming. Right now, Xiaoqing is sitting on Niki's lap. They've hardly known her for long.

Either they trust my intuition a lot, or they just kinda know. Man. I really love these girls. It isn't even about how attractive they are, or the crazy sexual hijinx we get into. We're beyond just a party of adventurers, that's for sure. Now that I think about it, they reacted a lot less erratically to the mention of wives than they would have in the past as well.

You push yourself up from the couch, and offer a hand down to the redhead with an affectionate smile. "Lead me to wherever you want us to speak, Time. And whatever this dangerous quest may be, we can handle it."
