Back in reality?
Cutting Ties
I finish a step when the world fades back in, and continue on to the bank with Johnas Albright, now a female hologram… who stares at me the whole way. When we get to the bank (which doubles as a temple to Abadar, and is both very solid and covered in expensive decor), we split the money. I invest all but a little operating capital in an aggressive portfolio, and the rest in a simple checking account for things like docking fees.
“So…” I begin, "...at this point, I consider your debt settled. You have a new face, your old identity is on file as dead, and the bounty claimed. You should be a free woman. Additionally, you have plenty of money, and should be able to book commercial passage wherever you'd like, and rent a suite for a very long time once you're there.”
“You're cutting ties, then,” the pink-haired, slightly transparent person considers.
“Yes,” I confirm.
“Works for me,” the woman shrugs, “thank you. I'd prefer to be in line to rule the empire… but at least I get to live.”
We both nod, and part ways… and I rush back to my ship, because I have a lot of buffing to do. While I can't use the free feats from Enable Function to qualify for others… the Extra Magic Talent feat has no requirements beyond casting, which I have, even though the actual talents can. More germain, the Capable Companion talent gives a Conjuration Companion a feat, and that doesn't have any clauses about not stacking or chaining. So while I can't take things like the Stasis Storage feat, my minions can. I start with my copilot: A Mindless Conjuration Companion so she has fourteen hit dice, which I then grant an intelligence score via the Bestow Mind talent of the Enhancement sphere. I use Extra Magic Talent for Capable Companion on myself to give her feats (including Open Minded for skill points) plus all of the Conjuration talents I want her to have… and Extra Skill Talent grants her access to the Vocation sphere and Skill Acuity: Her skill checks scale quite appropriately for fourteenth… and then I buff her up directly. When I'm done, I have a regenerating Companion that's nearly as unkillable as myself, has thirteenth level Spheres casting (half her hit dice from Magical Companion, four more from Practiced Spellcaster, and two more from the Gift for Magic trait taken repeatedly thanks to the Extra Traits feat and the Exemplar trait for magic) with most of the magic talents known (some are restricted: Conjuration, for example), who can lean on my unlimited spell points (due to the Magic Vessel talent).
And yes: Her. I take pains to make her look exactly like me… and then use Advanced Invisibility from the Illusion sphere to become invisible, permanently… but selectively, thanks to another talent from the same sphere. My Mythic artifact then makes it so I have perfect stealth: No Perception roll will find me. The dice always land in his favor? Fine: No dice. I keep Tug Fate up so I can convert one's by my minion into twenties. I make sure my minion does the same herself to handle it twice a round. I buff my minion up sufficiently that a roll of two will be a success on virtually any task.
I also get very small. I use Size Change from the Alteration Sphere to get to Diminutive, so I can be in the same space as my Conjuration Companion: I will simply ride on my companion's shoulder, or fly around under my own power. Of course, with a small amount of work, I get seven extra Traits to apply to myself without interfering with my own abilities, so I grab Uncanny Dodge (so I don't get Flat-footed or flanked), Spirit's Reach (letting me manipulate objects within ten feet despite my size), Spiritual Touch (so my weapons are all Ghost Touch, in case of incorporeal creatures), and a few direct offensive options so I have something not weapon-based to do with the extra standard action from Mythic. And just for grins (it doesn't even cost a trait!) I use Twist Essence to remove the Technological subtype from myself while I'm at it (it's used in a lot of Starfinder spells, so that removes a vulnerability, especially with an active Fey Link so I'm not even treated as a construct for types) and Permanent Transformation so it doesn't go away automatically (I can swap it out at any time). The Protection Sphere has me covered fairly well on defenses I can't get through spells yet… including all the energy immunities.
Side note: The world is HUGE when I'm smaller than a Barbie doll (I'm just 18 cm tall now). I mean… my Mythic Fly spell lets me get around without issues, Spirit's Reach lets me manipulate things even better than before, and in Starfinder size doesn't impact carrying capacity (or the bulk or effectiveness of items, not that it matters as I can put everything on my shadow and still have it work), so I'm fine… but my suite on my ship is now effectively an eight story building… which makes the sink a rather nice bathtub.
…not that I actually use my room much. I have to avoid the sexy stuff due to the nature of the deity I'm actually trying to trick…
How well does that work?
