To Jonathan's Penthouse

Devi and Jonathan spent dinner "celebrating" but the food and drink were barely touched as they got to know each other. Jonathan knew a lot from Devi's file, but he played along to not make her feel too uncomfortable. And Devi knew Jonathan through the various tabloids about him and his family, but she didn't let on that she knew that.

Desert came and went, the waitress packed up their leftovers and they were back in the town car.

"Thank you for the wonderful meal, sir," Devi said leaning against the car window.

"It's the least I could do for my assistant's first day," Jonathan said, "Shall I have my driver take you home?"

"-No... I mean, the night is still young, I don't want it to end so soon."

Jonathan grinned, "If you are sure you want to."

"OH, I'm sure," she said with devious smile.

Jonathan led Devi into his penthouse. He turned on the lights and she walked into his living room looking out to the city skyline. "It's so different at night," Devi said.

"It's quite beautiful," Jonathan said walking up behind her.

"Do you truly trust me, Jonathan?" Devi said turning to face him. Her eyes sparkling in the city light.

Jonathan stared into her eyes, "I am not usually trusting, but I trust you more than most people."

"I guess I'm not worthy of such an honor," she said looking down. Jonathan used a finger to raise her chin up so her eyes were looking into his again.

"I depend on you, and you depend on me," Jonathan said, "You put your faith in me, and I will put my faith in you in equal measure. That is not an honor I have granted to anyone before. If you are apprehensive-"

"-I'm not-"

"-if you are apprehensive," Jonathan continued, "The door is always there. I will not cage you and throw away the key."

Devi studied Jonathan carefully, "Sir, I-"

Jonathan pressed a finger to her lips, "I want you to think about our relationship. I am your boss and you are my assistant. I won't hurt you, but I will be a firm hand in helping you actualize into who you want to be."

Devi nodded. The silence filled the air as she stared deeply into his eyes... His soul...

"I need to freshen up," she finally said, looking around for the bathroom.

"Feel free," Jonathan said pointing to the bathroom door. Devi moved slowly to the bathroom her hips swaying enticingly as she did so.

Jonathan sat down on the couch as he waited for her answer.
