Chapter 9 by CilanEamber CilanEamber

What went wrong?

Who knows

Danny stared at the notepad in disbelief, flipping it over as if the answer might be on the back. "This isn't right," he muttered, scratching out the words and rewriting them with more ****. "Me and Sam return to our original bodies, now!"

The ink shimmered briefly before fading again. Nothing.

Sam bit her lip, shifting uncomfortably as the heat between her thighs still pulsed. "Maybe you messed up the spell the first time," she suggested, though the smirk on her face suggested she wasn’t exactly disappointed.

Before Danny could snap back, a deep laugh cut through the tension.

"Well, well. Looks like the party isn’t over yet."

Aaron and Jack stumbled into the alley, their drunken laughter echoing off the brick walls. Aaron's eyes widened when he spotted Sam still pressed against the sink, her bare chest heaving, fingers still teasing her wetness.

"Well, shit," Jack slurred, running a hand through his messy hair. "What a coincidence"

Aaron licked his lips, stepping closer. "Not necessarily." His gaze flicked to Danny, who stood frozen "We didn't get to finish before did we?" He leaned down taking her hand in his.

Sam giggled, arching her back slightly. "Mmm, we were interrupted earlier..."

Danny's face burned with anger. "No!!"

Aaron smirked, running his thumb along Sam's wrist. "Wanna come back to my place?" His voice was low, dripping with suggestion as he let his gaze travel down Sam's new feminine form.

Sam bit her lip, her body still humming with need. "Yes," she breathed, the word slipping out before she could stop it.

Aaron’s grin widened as he tugged her closer, his other hand sliding possessively around her waist. "Good choice."

Danny lunged forward, grabbing Sam’s arm. "No, you’re not going anywhere with him!"

Sam yanked free with surprising strength, her nails digging into Danny’s wrist. "Stop acting like you own me!" she snapped, her chest rising fast. "I want this."

Aaron chuckled, pulling her against him. "See? She’s got a mind of her own."

"Let's go, sweetheart," Aaron said, his voice a low growl as he began to lead Sam away, his arm a tight band around her waist. Her red hair swayed as she stumbled slightly in her heels, a giggle escaping her lips as she leaned into him.

"Sam, don't! You can't be serious!" Danny's voice cracked, raw and ****, as he took a frantic step after them. Jack, a hulking silhouette in the dim alley, moved to block his path, a lazy, menacing grin spreading across his face.

"I said, STOP!" Danny shouted, his plea echoing off the grimy brick walls. But they didn't even glance back.

Jack’s laughter was deep and mocking as he shoved Danny back against the alley wall, his breath reeking of cheap beer. "Relax, babe," he sneered, his fingers digging into Danny’s shoulder. "Aaron’s gonna treat your little friend real good. She’ll be screaming his name before he’s even got her through the door."

Danny thrashed, but Jack was stronger, pinning her easily. Around the corner, Sam’s breathy giggle faded, followed by the sharp click of her heels speeding up, Aaron must’ve pulled her into a run. The sound of a car door slamming echoed, then an engine roared to life.

Jack’s grip tightened as he leaned in, his lips brushing against Danny’s ear. "What about you, huh?" he murmured, his breath hot and heavy with ****. "You and me gonna have some fun too?"

Danny’s stomach twisted as Jack’s free hand slid down her side, fingers pressing against the curve of her hip. She tried to shove him away, but her smaller frame was no match for his strength. His lips crashed against hers, rough and demanding, tasting of beer and cigarettes.

She gasped against his mouth, turning her face away, but Jack just chuckled, gripping her chin and forcing her to look at him. Jack’s grip tightened as he leaned in, his lips brushing against Danny’s ear. "You know, I always had a thing for blondes," he murmured, his voice thick with lust. His rough fingers tangled in Danny’s golden hair, tugging just hard enough to make her gasp.

A sharp whistle cut through the damp air, two men in leather jackets strolled past, one nudging the other with his elbow.

"Damn, Jack," the taller one drawled, raking his gaze over Danny’s pinned form. "Didn’t know you had company."

Jack smirked, not loosening his grip. "Just gettin’ started," he rumbled.

Danny tried to twist away, but Jack’s other arm locked around her waist, pulling her flush against him. His breath was hot on her neck as he chuckled. "Bet you taste as sweet as you look."

Before she could react, his mouth crashed onto hers again, wet and greedy, his tongue forcing its way past her lips.

Danny’s teeth clamped down hard on Jack’s lower lip, the metallic tang of blood flooding her mouth. Jack roared, his grip loosening just enough for her to wrench free.

“Fucking bitch!” he spat, swiping at his bleeding mouth as Danny stumbled back, her heel catching on cracked pavement.

She didn’t wait, didn’t think. The alley blurred as she sprinted, the damp air burning her lungs. Behind her, Jack’s boots pounded against the pavement, his curses growing fainter as she rounded the corner.

The street was empty. No sign of Sam. No sign of Aaron’s car.

Danny’s breath hitched. This was bad. His transformed friend, no ID, was out in the world with a total stranger, and he knew exactly what was going to happen.

What's next?
